🖤 10 Cats. 10 Forever Homes. 🐾

Because of YOU GUYS, ten lucky cats found exactly what they’ve been waiting for — loving families, warm beds, and a future full of comfort and care!

Every adoption changes a life. It opens a space for the next cat in need and reminds us why this work matters so much. To each adopter who chose rescue this week: thank you for opening your heart, your home, and your life to one of our amazing cats.

We can’t wait to watch these happily-ever-afters unfold. 💫
Here’s to ten new beginnings — and many more to come.

So many hearts have been stirred by the Walk for Peace — by compassion, by hope, by the simple desire to help. 💛
We’ve seen countless people asking how they can donate items for the vulnerable monks and Aloka the peace dog. While there isn’t a way to safely store physical donations, the call to care doesn’t have to stop there.

Let’s turn that compassion inward — right here in our own community.

Below are local organizations working every single day to help those who need it most. Some support families. Some protect animals. Some do both. All of them rely on community support to keep going.

If you’ve been looking for a way to honor love, kindness, and peace in action — this is it.
Donate, volunteer, share, or simply learn more. Every act of care matters.

🖤 Kuzco Update 🖤
Steady improvement and so much relief.

Kuzco is still a little wobbly, but his gums are pink, his tummy is full, and he’s resting warm and comfy — and that means everything.

We never gave up on him, even in the scariest moments, and because of that… Kuzco is still here. 💪✨

Even sweeter: his foster mom is considering adopting him once he’s ready. Thanks to his amazing finder, his devoted foster, and this incredible community, Kuzco has been given a second chance at the life he deserves.

Thank you for standing by him when he needed it most. He’ll never have to face this kind of hardship again. 🐾💙

🐾 Meet Our Newest Friends: Tucker & Stubbie! 🐾

We’ve got double the charm and double the personality to introduce today — say hello to Stubbie and Tucker, two very different pups who are both looking for their forever homes!

🐶 Stubbie (aka Stubbs!)
Stubbie is perfectly unique — with the head and body of a black lab and the short legs of a basset hound or dachshund. Just over 1 year old and about 52 lbs, he’s full of personality and charm. Stubbie is great with dogs and cats, already housebroken, walks well on a leash, and comes with house manners included!

🖤 Tucker
Once known as Tow Truck 🚛, Tucker is a handsome 18-month-old St. Bernard mix weighing in at about 65 lbs. He’s calm, gentle, a little shy at first, and incredibly loving once he warms up. Tucker is great with other dogs and cats and is the definition of a quiet, loyal companion. He’s been patiently waiting at the shelter since early November and is now settling in beautifully with us!

These two may look totally different, but they share one big thing in common: they’re both ready for loving forever homes! 💕

Come meet Tucker & Stubbie and see which one steals your heart — or maybe both! 🐾❤️

🐾Pet of the Week - JEREMY🐾

Remember the little guy who was dying of FIP that you all rallied behind back in October? Well, you did it! You allowed us to save his life! AND, Jeremy is officially thriving and ready for his next big adventure!!

After a rough start to life, this resilient boy has finished treatment and is now available for adoption, eager to begin his happily-ever-after in a loving home. ✨

Jeremy is now 7-months-old & is super curious, cuddly, and firmly believes that everyone is his friend — cats, dogs, humans of all sizes, big animals, small animals… especially his bestie in foster care, an adult German Shepherd. Yep, he’s totally comfortable with cat-friendly dogs and lives like he owns the place!

His hobbies include:
😴 Sleeping in the most awkward positions possible
🍪 Snacking (gimme gimme gimme!!)
🥰 Being adorable without even trying

Jeremy is looking for a loving, indoor-only home where he will never be declawed and will be cherished forever. From a tough beginning to a bright, happy future — this little guy is ready to steal your hearts... and your snacks!🐾💛

When Hart County Humane Society first began, we were 100% foster-based. 🏡
Every single rescue went into a volunteer’s home — living there 24/7. Those fosters didn’t just open their hearts; they handled everything: veterinary care, daily care, socialization, and even adoptions for the animals they took in. It was a true labor of love.

Today, we are incredibly grateful to have our sanctuary on Reed Creek Hwy — a place where we can house cats and dogs who don’t currently have a foster home. The reality is that the need for safe homes will always be greater than the number of fosters available, and our facility allows us to step in when there simply aren’t enough homes.

At the sanctuary, our dedicated volunteer team works day in and day out to care for:
🐾 50+ animals during “slow” season
🐾 Easily 100+ animals during peak rescue seasons

Because of the sanctuary, visitors can come by, meet our cats and dogs, and see our work in action. But this isn’t the reality for our foster animals.

✨ Foster pets live in private homes.
The public can’t just walk in and visit them — but these homes are absolutely vital to our mission. Foster families often take on our most difficult medical cases, providing 24-hour observation, specialized care, and a calm environment while these babies heal, grow, and get strong enough for adoption.

You may have noticed our recent Facebook & Instagram story posts highlighting individual cats and dogs in foster care — and we want to do even more of that! 💛
We also have a social media highlight called “Friends in Foster Homes” where we showcase these foster babies.

👉 If you see one you’re interested in meeting or just want more information about, message us!
We’ll happily help you with the adoption application and connect you directly with the foster parent!

Many foster pets also rotate through our PetSmart Charities locations in Seneca, SC and Anderson, SC, where they can be met and adopted as well. You might have seen one of our weekly videos highlighting these babies! They are also taken care of daily by lovely volunteers who drive out there every single day!

Please keep an eye out for these foster babies — the ones you might not see at our facility, but who are just as much a part of our rescue family. 🐾💛

Featuring the most adorable video of adoptable Gucci, who is in a loving foster home & still on the hunt for his own home 💖🐾

Meet Noelle — a beautiful 18-month-old, 35 lb Border Collie mix whose story begins with heartbreak…

Noelle was found on Christmas Eve by a Good Samaritan. She was severely underweight, with open wounds behind her front legs where a harness had painfully embedded into her skin. It’s clear she once belonged to someone — but no one ever came looking for their little girl. 💔

Despite everything she’s endured, Noelle’s spirit shines. She has the biggest, most soulful brown eyes and the cutest underbite you’ve ever seen (don’t worry — braces won’t be required 😄). She eats just fine and is slowly but surely regaining her curves.

True to her Border Collie roots, Noelle is smart, energetic, and loves to herd bigger animals. She does great with other dogs and cats, and she would thrive with an active family who allows her space to run and play. She’s currently working on potty training and table manners, which will need consistency from her future family, but she is a super fast learner! ⚡

Because she’s such a high-energy girl, very small children or infants may not be the best fit — but older kids, adventure buddies, and active households? She’d be in heaven!!

From the moment she wakes up until bedtime, Noelle is a bundle of joyful energy… and when the day winds down, she settles in easily and loves to cuddle. 💕

If Noelle sounds perfect to you — she is!
Come meet this precious young pup and prepare for your heart to melt! 🐶✨
