🐾 Happy National Cat Day from Hart County Humane Society! 🐱💕

We love dogs, too—but around here, the cats definitely outnumber us… and they’re pretty sure they’re in charge! 😂

From tiny bottle babies to senior lap cats, shy newcomers to determined little survivors, every cat who comes into our care deserves the same thing: safety, kindness, and a family of their own. ❤️

As a mostly cat rescue, we see every day how much a second chance can mean. A frightened kitten learns to trust. An injured stray discovers comfort. A cat who has waited far too long finally goes home. YOU help make those moments possible. 🏡

Celebrate National Cat Day with us:
🐱 Adopt a new best friend!
🏠 Foster a cat or kitten!
🙌 Volunteer your time!
💕 Donate to support their care!
📣 Share an adopted cat’s story!
🐾 Become an HCHS member for just $25 per year through our website!

Visit harthumane.org to become a member or learn how you can help—and drop a photo of your beloved kitty in the comments! We’d love to see the cats who rule YOUR home! 👑🐈

Tiny paws, brand-new beginnings! Meet just a few of the newer additions to our HCHS family! 💕

🐱 Pearl, Pepper, Peter, & Ponzi are approximately 10 whole weeks old! 💗

These tiny babies had a rough start, found outside alone and in need of food, flea prevention, and a safe place to land. No kitten should have to face the world alone, and we’re so grateful they now have full bellies, cozy beds, and plenty of love. 🥹💕

These little cuties are growing up in a loving private foster home. Once they’re big enough, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered, they’ll be ready to find forever families! For now, they’re busy eating, playing, napping, and being absolutely adorable!! 🥰

Looking for a kitten and don’t want to wait? We have plenty of sweet kitties ready to meet you!

📍 Our Cat Sanctuary at 1364 Reed Creek Highway in Hartwell is open every day from 10 AM–1 PM.
📍 Visit our adoptable cats and kittens at our PetSmart partners in Anderson and Seneca every day until 6 PM!

Your newest family member could be waiting for you! 🏡💕

Here we are at the season for caring and sharing. When you purchase a $5.00 Chance or friend and donate it, so many organizations get the toys. Toys for Tots, foster children, first responders to have on hand when responding to a tragic event and find a child who needs comfort, dogs in shelters as a Christmas treat, people in nursing homes and so many other non-profits. Please stop in our Petsmart - Anderson and bring a child or homeless pet a little joy for the holiday.

🐾❤️ Two places, one amazing day, and TWO forever homes found!

Thank you to everyone who came out to see Hart County Humane Society today at Depot Day in Hartwell or PetSmart in Anderson! Whether you donated, adopted, picked up a T-shirt, or simply stopped to say hello, we are so grateful for your support. 🥰

Celebrating 20 years and 8,000 animals rescued with our community was pretty special— but knowing TWO amazing rescue animals are spending tonight with their forever families makes this day even sweeter! 🏡💕

We plan to be back at Anderson PetSmart tomorrow, so there’s still time to meet your new best friend!

For tonight, we’re grateful, thankful, and a little tired… but two forever homes? That’s worth every bit of tired. ❤️🐾
