Seeking a Special Home for a Sweet Senior Cat - Birthday Coming Soon!
This handsome feline is looking for his purr-fect retirement home just in time for his 11th birthday! He's a resilient and loving cat who has faced some challenges and is ready to settle down with a family who will cherish him.
He has experienced a challenging journey, from outdoor living, to indoor, and back out again, then spent the last 6 years in a basement because he wasn’t declawed. Despite these challenges, he is a survivor with a gentle spirit and a desire for a peaceful, loving home. Pj has a lot of love to give and he is full of life!
Soon after the rescue had taken him in (late April) we realized he was in so much pain he could barely eat. A trip to the vet revealed he needed 18 teeth pulled. The pain and the heartbreak were too much. PJ shut down. He stopped eating. His body gave up, and he ended up in the ER for 5 long days, hooked up to fluids and antibiotics fighting to survive. He had not seen a vet in 8 years prior!
PJ is a champ and mealtimes are now enjoyable. He is seeking a calm environment where he can relax and enjoy simple pleasures, like a cozy nap spot and gentle attention. If you are looking for a low-maintenance companion who will appreciate kindness and offer quiet companionship, PJ might be the perfect fit.
He may be shy initially, but with patience and understanding, will become a loving friend. He deserves nothing less and his golden years should be the BEST yet. He didn’t give up. Now it’s our turn not to give up on him.
He is currently being fostered in Canal Fulton, Ohio
