Darlington Rescue is a dedicated team of volunteers whose goal is to reduce the euthanasia rate at Darlington County Humane Society, improve the health of all shelter pets through providing veterinary, and medical care, and to provide a safe and loving care at the 'Bridge' facility while waiting to transport to approved Rescue partners. Due to a lack of funds, our pets would go untreated for injuries and illness, and their options at finding homes would be limited at best. Through Darlington Rescue, you and many others can provide the help our pets need to bring them closer to their new forever home. Join us in making a difference in the life of a pet and our community today!

🧡Sweet Bambi enjoys some love and lap time after her PAPD adventure. She’s an older gal who was abandoned 😔 in a yard and arrived at the shelter in July. She’s around 8 years old, 42lbs, heart worm positive and really needs to get out of the shelter. Bambi is good with other dogs and loves snuggle time with her person. She’s hoping for a quiet home where she can relax, get some snuggles and rest on a soft comfy bed. Can you help her? Located in Hartsville SC, please share this beautiful girl.

Holla…our Radio Pet of the week is off on his Paws Around the P*e Dee adventure! He’s still waiting for a home!

Holla, also pronounced HOLLAAAAA because that’s how it really should be said 😆, is a little party package in doggie form. He is such a fun little guy with a beaming smile surly to make you smile too! Holla is just a year and half and easily trainable. He loves attention and treats so getting him to listen is easy. He already knows sit with just the sound of a treat bag! We’re not sure where he learned that but he’s got it down! Holla is great with other dogs and he loves people and is good with kids too. He’s been on a field trip with a young boy and did very well. He even let the little boy walk him for a few seconds for a cute picture!

Holla enjoys his zoomies when he gets out to play and we enjoy watching him do his zoomies and play 😂. He has the time of his life! Little legs, big smile, tongue out, no worries! That’s Holla! He has this ability to, without even trying, to fill you with joy just by looking at him. You can see that whatever his circumstance was that left him abandoned in a yard with an old collar and no one to care for him does not keep him from being ready to love and adore his new family.

🎃👻Have a Happy, safe Howl-o-ween! Some of our lucky Darlings will be field tripping today on their Paws Around the P*e Dee Halloween Bingo Adventure….if you’re out and about and see one of our dogs stop and say hello to them.

🧡Meet COX a 1 year old 35lb heart worm positive terrier mix. Cox is a sweet boy, and he’s met lots of doggy friends in playgroups. Cox loves to romp and play, but is also content to hang out. The Eval team says he’s a RockStar🌟because he so great with all dogs he meets. Cox was found abandoned on a chain, arriving very thin and in need of TLC. He has a cute little bobtail, has gained weight and is ready for his own home. Look at his sweet expression, he’d love to be your new best friend.
