The floors are DONE and we couldn’t be more excited to finally show you a full walkthrough of the space! 🐾🏗️
This video starts in the garage area, which will soon become our daycare space (still a work in progress 👀). From there, you’ll walk through:

Seeing it all come together like this feels so surreal. We are SO thankful for everyone cheering us on and supporting us through every step of this journey 💕
There’s still more to do, but we’re getting closer every day — and we can’t wait to welcome you (and your pups 🐶) into this space!

The floor process has started today in the new location! It should take a few days, since it is epoxy, and then we can start moving some things over! We are just trying to get open, so there will be some finishing going on after the move, but we are getting closer guys! We will not be having our open house until the daycare area is completely finished, but we will keep you posted on that date. Thanks for everyone's patience and excitement!!

We’ve been carefully selecting everything with comfort, quality, and your pets in mind — and this is just the beginning!!! 🐾💗

🐾 We’re excited to share a comfort-focused upgrade coming to our new facility!
After extensive research to ensure the best possible experience for your dogs, we’ve invested in therapeutic support designed to help ease the transition between drop-off, baths, and grooming.
Our new kennel room will feature a pheromone-based calming plug-in diffuser. This product is completely odor-free, 100% pet-safe, and helps create a more relaxed environment throughout each step of the grooming process.
We’re also planning to incorporate blue light therapy in this space. Recent studies show that this gentle lighting can be calming for both people and animals, helping promote a peaceful, stress-reducing atmosphere during transitions in care.
These enhancements will be part of our new location and are just one of the many ways we’re raising the standard for your pets. We want nothing but the very best for our clients and their fur babies 💙🐶

🐾 Happy Tails customers 🐾
Parking at our current location will be a bit different than it has been over the past 11 years. As West Shore begins construction, a fence has been installed that blocks off the entire parking lot of the old IGA.
They have kindly left us a limited number of parking spaces on the south side of the building, with our main customer parking now located directly in front of our main entrance. Please be mindful that parking is limited and park accordingly.
The correct way to enter the parking area is from Wigton Street (the road just north of us), pulling in diagonally into the marked spaces. You may still exit using IGA’s north driveway.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your cooperation in helping make drop-offs and pick-ups as smooth as possible for everyone.
We’re excited to see West Shore coming to our town, though parking may be a bit of a nuisance during construction. The good news is—this is only temporary, and we’ll be moving out into our new building before long!

✨ We’re Excited to Introduce Another Pet Stylist to Our Team! ✨
Please help us give a warm welcome to Caren, who we’re thrilled to have joining us! 🐾✂️
Caren brings 35 years of experience in the pet grooming industry and is a graduate of the Michigan School of Canine Cosmetology. She previously owned and operated her own salon for 13 years and truly has a lifelong passion for working with pets. She prefers to be called a pet stylist, because to her, it’s more than a job—it’s an art and a calling 😊
After moving to the area to be closer to family and her new grandson, we’re lucky to have her talent, knowledge, and love for animals right here with us.
Below is some of Caren’s work, be sure to take a look and give her a warm welcome when you see her in the shop! ❤️🐶

And just like that, 2025 at Happy Tails has officially ended. We sure know how to go out with a bang don't we Jackie Failing 🤣🤣

Jackie and I both want to thank everyone for the gratitude you have shown us throughout the year, and especially all of the extras at Christmas! The food, the presents, the sweet cards, sweet treats, gift cards and the extra money, is all very appreciated!

More importantly than all of the extras, we want to thank everyone for being our clients. You and your dogs have become our family. EVERY single dog that walks in our door, we treat as our own.

Our new location is getting closer and closer to being done! We will not be opening at the first of the year, but we will be moving a lot of things over during our time off. Our current location will start to seem bare, but we are gonna make it work with our new groomers and clients!

On a personal note, I want to thank the star of our show, Jackie. Not only does she care for your dogs so well, she is a phenomenal person, and best friend. I honestly couldn't do life without her. She experienced her first ever, and hopefully last, extreme bite yesterday, and she still showed up today like a champ. Thankfully we had a special guest of Ella to help Jackie get through the day.

We will see everyone, still in our current location, back on January 2nd.
