💙 DeLima Stables Blue Ribbon Rounds 💙

We are so excited to kick off DeLima Stables Blue Ribbon Rounds for our students this summer!

Join us every Friday night starting at 5:30 PM at the farm to ride a course (poles-2’3”). Go clear and bring home a blue ribbon!

Blue Ribbon Rounds are the perfect chance for students to gain confidence in a show style setting, get some extra saddle time, and enjoy beautiful Friday night sunsets with the DeLima barn family.

Some of our DeLima Stables students braved the chilly spring morning for the Daffodil Dressage Show at Masterson Station.

It was a wonderfully organized show and a great experience for our horses and riders.

Grateful to see our students come home in the ribbons and have some great learning opportunities along the way! Congratulations to Christian on Highway Robbery and Kyleigh on Tale of Dixie!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

As we step into 2026, we are looking back on a year of growth for our riders and horses.

From shows and off-property schooling to quiet trail rides and lessons, 2025 brought learning, confidence, and community here.

Despite the bitter temperatures, we had a great turnout for last night’s DeLima Christmas Cookie Exchange. Between cookies and fudge, horse trivia and charades, and time spent with our barn family, it was a great way to celebrate the season. Merry Christmas!

🌈 Rest Easy, Shorty.

Today, we had to say goodbye to one of the most special souls in our barn. At 21 years old, Shorty passed away peacefully, surround by the herd he led so well for many years.

Shorty had a way of making everyone feel safe- horses and humans alike. He was endlessly kind and patient. Whether you were taking your very first lesson or building your confidence back up after a fall, Shorty was always there as the calm and forgiving teacher.

Every morning, Shorty greeted whoever was bringing his breakfast with his signature nicker - a happy little motor that said thank you (and reminded us that he would never turn down extra cookies.) His kind eye, quiet leadership, and gentle spirit will be missed for years to come.

Shorty left this world the same way he lived in it - loved, calm, and surrounded by his herd. Gallop free, Shorty. You have more than earned your rest. Thank you for everything.

We will forever listen for your breakfast nicker in the quiet mornings at the barn.
