Things are looking spooky around here! 🎃 Happy Halloween from our team. Stay safe tonight! 🐾

Halloween Night can be FULL of anxiety triggers for dogs. Be aware of your dog's emotions and keep them safe on Halloween!
🐾 If your dog doesn't like strangers (especially ones in masks), designate a comfortable safe space for them away from trick or treaters.
🐾 If you plan to take them out with you, add some reflective tape to their costume or leash. And watch for loose candy on the ground.
🐾 And of course, keep chocolate and raisins away from your pup!

Oakley is a pure black lab with pure lab energy! He is a recent graduate of the Good Dog Good Manners Class @ Wyolina Kennels with Layne. He loves his family, especially his human brother. His favorite part of training was the “sniff walks”.

While we may think of walking our dog for exercise, there are still many reasons why a slow, sniffing walk is important too!

Tips for your sniffing walks:
🐾 Let your dog set the pace
🐾 Choose a safe area where stopping won't be an issue
🐾 Be patient, dedicate this time to them!
🐾 Keep aware of your dog and redirect their attention if needed

Kita is a recent grad of the Good Dog Good Manners Class @ Wyolina Kennels. Kita, short for Nakita, is a 4-month old shepadoodle. Although they look floppy now, we think Kita’s ears will eventually stand up!
