We are delighted to introduce Rainbow, one of our newest intakes! ❤️

Sadly, one of Rainbow's humans passed away and the other was no longer able to provide care. Rainbow is very sweet but does have a maniacal laugh that cracks me up every time! He would do best in a household with no children, as he seems to dislike all of our younger volunteers. We are looking forward to helping this sweetheart find his new forever home!

Please welcome Lucky, a 24 year old Blue Crowned Conure and one of our newest intakes! 💕
Lucky’s human is being deployed overseas and we are honored that he entrusted us to assist Lucky in finding a loving forever home. Lucky is full of personality and quite vocal. He loves to tell you “good morning” followed by an excited “wooo!”

Help needed!!!

We recently took in over 50 birds, including Cheeto (pictured) and our supplies are running extremely low. I know we’ve been rather silent on here lately, but for good reason! It’s that time of the year where we rehab our flights and trust me, it keeps us very busy!! The birds are loving it and so are we! I’ll be posting more pics as work is completed, but here are some photos from our small bird flights.

Just when I think I’ve seen it all…

Today, we took in several budgies from a breeder who could no longer take care of them. I look down at the two crocks in the bottom of the cage and say to myself, “that can’t be what I think it is!”

So I remove the crocks and take a big whiff. Yep! That’s red velvet cake complete with frosting! There’s even some seed in there for decoration. 🙄 🤷‍♀️

We usually like to transition our intakes from their old diet to our blend, but in this case we’re making an exception.
