This happy guy just started our Basic Obedience Program and is ready to get to work! Over the next few days, Benny will be learning important skills like calmly waiting at doors, improving his leash manners, and building confidence in himself and the world around him.

Wyatt graduated from our training program months ago and is still a frequent visitor for both daycare and boarding! Today, Wyatt joined us on a trip to Home Depot for a refresher on his obedience commands and to practice his skills in a real-world environment. 🐾

🧼 Suds up! It’s cleaning time! 🧼

Our turf yard gets cleaned multiple times each week to help keep our dogs healthy, happy, and comfortable. Cache, Daisy, and Alfredo took their training to the riverfront today during Sail 250! 🇺🇸⚓

The trio worked through crowds, noise, new sights, and plenty of distractions while practicing their obedience and engagement skills in a busy public environment. Public outings like these are a great way to build confidence and teach dogs to stay focused no matter what’s going on around them.

Of course, all three soaked up plenty of attention from event-goers and made lots of new friends along the way. Training doesn’t always happen on the training field—sometimes the best lessons come from real-world experiences.

Field trip day for Cache, Daisy, and Alfredo! 🐾⚓

Today we headed down to the riverfront for Sail 250 New Orleans, where our dogs got the opportunity to train around large crowds, live music, unfamiliar sights, and all the excitement that comes with a major public event.

The goal isn’t just obedience—it’s teaching dogs to remain confident, neutral, and responsive in the real world. Despite all the distractions, these three stayed focused, worked through the environment, and represented The Dog School like pros.

They also received plenty of pets, compliments, and attention from the public, which may have been their favorite part of the day.
