❤️ A Special Shout-Out to SouthEast Beagle Rescue❤️
As many of you know, one thing that truly sets Harahan Veterinary Hospital apart is our dedication and unwavering commitment to helping rescue animals. Today, we want to share a story that deserves some well-earned recognition.
Several months ago, we had the opportunity to help a handful of beagles who desperately needed a second chance. We were committed to helping them, but we knew we could only do so much on our own. Hoping to place them with a breed-specific rescue, we reached out to several organizations, believing that adopters often look there first when searching for a new family member.
We started with the rescues closest to us and worked our way down the list. While everyone we spoke with was respectful, the conversations immediately ended with no. We understand—rescue work is exhausting, and organizations everywhere are stretched thin.
Then we connected with Mrs. Lynn from SouthEast Beagle Rescue (SEBR) in Tampa, Florida.
What followed was one of the most inspiring conversations we've had in rescue work. We spoke for over an hour, and from the very beginning, her compassion, dedication, and love for these dogs shined through. Without hesitation, she said, “Yes, we'll help.”
Mrs. Lynn immediately took these precious beagles under her wing, and before long, five deserving beagles made the journey from New Orleans to Tampa to begin the next chapter of their lives.
To Mrs. Lynn and everyone at SouthEast Beagle Rescue, thank you for being the kind of people who say "yes" when animals need you most. Your kindness, commitment, and tireless work made a life-changing difference for these dogs, and we are incredibly grateful.
And to our amazing clients, supporters, and community—thank you. We could never help the underdogs without your trust and support. Every rescue story is possible because of you. 🐾❤️
