Spring Hunter Series - March 15th update!

Due to the overwhelming outreach from our competitors with concerns of the chance of high winds starting around lunch time Saturday we have decided to cancel our show on Saturday. We absolutely hate to cancel it, but want our competitors and their horses to be safe driving home after the show.
We will see everyone at the Spring Hunter Series - April 5th show!

We spent last weekend making some new jumps with pinless jump cups. So excited to put these to use for the first time this Saturday at the Spring Hunter Series - March 15th show!

Our first Spring Hunter Series - March 15th show of the season is 3 days away and we are so excited to see everyone!

The Nation Weather Service is currently predicting that the rain will hold off until 2pm 🤞🏼 We are going to continue with plans to host the show as normal and should anything change I will update Facebook on Friday.

Forging M Farm LLC in Hamptonville, NC currently has 2️⃣ full service pasture board openings for the right horses. Ideal candidate would be an easy going mare or gelding that mixes well with a blended herd. $350 monthly if you provide grain/$425 if we provide grain. (Tribute Feeds - up to 6lbs daily)

This is a NO DRAMA, relaxed facility.

Amenities include:

•Farrier and veterinary technician that live onsite. (Although you can bring your own farrier with you if you wish)

•No trainer onsite - you are welcome to bring your own!

•Twice daily feeding

•Hay included in monthly board (fed in slow feeders)

•Tack Storage

•Blanketing/fly mask included

•Trailer parking if needed

•12 hours on pasture/12 hours on dry lot with hay

•24/7 access to 2 different run ins

•60’ round pen

•100x200 sand arena

• Hunter and Ranch shows hosted on site during the spring and fall

(The only exception to us being “full service” is owners are expected to schedule their own vet appointments and farrier if using an outside farrier and be there to hold their horse unless previously discussed. Deworming will also be the responsibility of the owner)

“Watch Me Forge Jack" aka Rooster - 2 Year Old AQHA Red Roan Gelding.

If you're looking for your next c**t project that isn't afraid of NOTHING - then this is your guy! 🔥

We have owned Rooster since he was a weanling and simply no longer have the time to consistently work with him like a c**t needs. He is the first one to greet you in the mornings and is ready to start a job! Although he has not had consistent groundwork in several months, he was recently shown in his first in hand trail competition and placed 2nd in his division with lovely notes from the judge. He has not been started under saddle, but I have sat on him ba****ck only once and he did great (can provide video).

-Expected to mature around 15.1-15.3h per his breeder who has his siblings.

SENSORY HAIRS

The FEI has determined that any measures to trim or shave off a horse's sensory hairs, including whiskers, eyelashes and the hairs of the inner ear, is not permitted and shall lead to an elimination of the combination for the competition's duration.

Sensory hairs are of extreme importance for proprioception for the horse. They aid the horse's ability to judge distance and navigate in the dark. It has been shown that trimming or shaving these hairs leads to increased susceptibility to injury.
