And this is why we do it. ❤️

Because this sport is so much more than ribbons and results.

It’s the early mornings, late nights, and countless hours in the saddle. It’s learning patience, perseverance, and how to get back up after things don’t go your way. It’s the friendships made ringside, the laughs in the barn aisle, and the bond you build with a horse that can’t be put into words.

The wins are exciting, but they aren’t why we keep showing up.

We do it for the horses, the people, and the lessons this sport teaches us every single day. The ribbons are just the cherry on top. 🍒🐴

Danielle’s love for horses began at Fox Hunt Farm under the guidance of Joy Kloss, where she discovered a passion for developing green horses and ponies. That foundation led her to Virginia Intermont, where she competed on both the IHSA and ANRC national teams. Since then, Danielle has ridden and coached for several respected professionals and now develops sales horses for Helen Goddard Inc. Known for her patient, thoughtful approach and ability to bring out the best in both horse and rider, Danielle is excited to share her knowledge and experience with riders of all levels during this clinic.

Horse show days are long, but days like today make it all worth it! 🐴💙 We’re heading home tired, happy, and with tri-colors all around from the Briarwood show at Gleneayre!

✨ Mia & Pandamonium – Reserve Champion in the Developing Hunters.

✨ Alison & Runaway Grand Slam – Grand Champion in the Beginner Rider Division.

✨ Karl Hartsock & Raleigh – Reserve Champion in the Thoroughbred Hunters. So great to see Raleigh gaining his confidence back!

✨ Elizabeth & Pandamonium – Reserve Champion in the Pleasure Division at just their second horse show and biggest venue yet!

📍 September - December| Opportunity to Extend

Horsepower Meadows is seeking a dedicated, reliable working student to join our team this summer, with the potential to continue beyond the season for the right fit. Our current working student is moving onto better things! Which is what this program is about ⭐️

🐴 About the Program
We are a focused, professional barn working primarily with young horses and Thoroughbreds, offering a strong learning environment for riders looking to develop their skills both in and out of the saddle.

🌿 What We’re Looking For

* Minimum 3 years riding experience
* Confident, motivated, and eager to learn
* Reliable and team-oriented
* Comfortable around young/green horses (or willing to learn quickly)

🧹 Responsibilities Include

* Feeding, turnout, and daily horse care
* Grooming, tacking, and untacking
* Assisting with young horse handling
* Supporting daily barn operations

🚫 No stall cleaning required

✨ What You’ll Gain

* Regular riding opportunities
* Hands-on experience with young Thoroughbreds
* Instruction and mentorship in a professional setting
* Opportunity to extend position beyond summer

This is an ideal opportunity for someone serious about growing as a rider and horseperson in a structured, supportive program.
