We highly recommend this amazing opportunity with Kristen Murray - Photo + Film🐾❤️🪶
I've wanted to put on a bird dog photography workshop for a long time now. And while I've hosted a few virtual trainings and 1:1 coaching on this, it's finally time for an in-person event.
October 2026, at a beautiful sporting estate in New Kent, Virginia. Pointers, flushers, retrievers. Real dogs, real hunts.
I'm taking everything I've learned over the past 6 years about field safety, hunting etiquette, reading gun dog behavior, nuances of each type of bird dog, anticipation, storytelling, and sporting imagery, and putting it into a small, hands-on workshop.
Limited to just 4 students, this experience is designed for people who already know their camera and want to learn how to work confidently in the field. (I'm not teaching the exposure triangle or how to use your camera.)
Whether you're an established pet photographer looking to expand into gun dogs, an outdoor photographer wanting to better understand bird dogs and hunting culture, or one who wants to move beyond simply reacting to the action and start anticipating it, this workshop is for you.
We'll spend three days in the field learning how to read what's actually happening in front of us, anticipate moments before they happen, move safely alongside hunters and handlers, work with less than ideal light (you can't always control hunt conditions,) and create images that tell a stronger story.
Lodging, breakfasts, & lunches will be included. Dates and early-bird(dog) pricing will be announced soon.

Y'all, I've learned A LOT about this world over the past 6 years, some things the (really) hard way. This workshop is the resource I wish I had when I was first starting out.
