Darcy is a 10-year-old female miniature smooth-haired dachshund looking for a calm, loving home to enjoy her golden years. 💕

This sweet senior girl weighs under 10 pounds, is housebroken, spayed, and current on vaccines. Darcy gets along well with both small and large dogs and currently lives with another miniature dachshund and a pitbull mix. She has also lived with children, but she would be happiest in a quieter home with older children, teenagers, or adults only.

Darcy’s eyesight is declining with age, and because she cannot see well, she can become startled while eating and may snap if disturbed. For this reason, she needs a family that understands senior dogs and will give her the peaceful environment she deserves.

Meet Penelope! This 5-year-old Bulldog found herself in our care as a stray from Gulfport on May 5th, but sadly her owners never came back for her. Now Penelope is ready to find a forever family to spend her golden couch potato years with! She's not overly clingy or demanding, she's really just the kind of independent lady who enjoys exploring her surroundings, lounging nearby, and doing her own thing.

Despite her age, she is still active and enjoys spending time outdoors, soaking up fresh air and taking in the world around her. She gets along well with other dogs, is heartworm negative, and would love a calm home where she can settle in and relax.

Older dogs like Penelope are truly some of the best companions. Their personalities are already developed, and tend to learn a household routine quickly. Glory Gloriaaaaa!

Gloria is a STUNNING 1 year old cattle dog mix that gets so excited when she gets attention that she will tippy tap shimmy her whole body like she's dancing to her own song! She is ready for her next debut and is hoping there will be dogs to play with and people to pet her extensively. There may even be a cute "sit" in it for you if there is a treat involved. She doesn't need any warm up time - she'll jump right into best friends forever with whomever she meets people and dogs alike. She especially likes kids!

She is one of those dogs that help our under socialized dogs feel more comfortable and she has already helped a couple of her shelter buddies out.
