The positional cue “heel” takes persistence. The goal with any skill is the growth in handler and canine relationships. Several techniques are recommended to develop a solid foundation in heel work. Teaching our dogs to heel will increase spacial awareness, muscle memory, and improve handler focus. The dogs below in the video demonstrate some of their progress at different ages, but not all the techniques that were used to develop and improve their performance. Heel work progress is a great example of how a positional cue can create positive feedback between canine and handler. Enjoy your training time together! ✨🐾🏖️🛁☀️

Beach Dog, LLC is my 15+ year problem solved. Frequently traveling to the Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan areas and always needing an option to clean the sand and salt off my dogs during our stay, I’ve called countless booked groomers, and dog bathing outdoors were my only options all these years.
When I finally moved to this community I have been running to any moment I could… I still needed a dog wash station. I opened Beach Dog, LLC to fill the gap that I always needed, and I assumed others also shared. When my Labs catch frisbees until the summer sun sets, or I enjoy the sweatshirt mornings flinging a sand-soaked 🎾 tennis ball… Beach Dog is my next stop. 9pm summer sunset baths 🛁, or 10 am off-day fresh fur, the dogs and I appreciate the comfort and convenience of the DIY Dog Wash option. Beach Dog is also available for scheduled baths and can usually work in same day or next day if needed.
