Dutch Manor in Guilderland is hiring for 2 jobs!!
We are looking for an instructor to teach a few afternoons and evenings a week and Saturdays. You should be able to teach beginners through jumping. Riding opportunities available as well. (**Lauren is still here and not going anywhere anytime soon!)
We are also looking for full-time barn help for mucking, hay, feed, and water, and other general barn chores. You must be reliable and have reliable transportation. You must be comfortable around horses, be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs, and the ability to drive a tractor is a bonus. Hours are 6:30am to 10:30am, 5 or 6 days/week.
Additional hours may be available depending on your skills and availability.

Is anyone coming to show in the jumpers this Saturday?? Please speak up or call the barn as we need to know if its worth running. We have prize money in the Gambler's Choice, but we need enough entries to run it. 518-456-5010

Hunters and equitation are still running on Sunday.

Its that time of year and the parking lot is a bit soft, so we are asking who is coming this weekend with what trailers?

UPDATE: SATURDAYS JUMPER SHOW IS CANCELED, SUNDAYS SHOW IS STILL HAPPENING

Good news, we have a food truck for the horse show next weekend! At First Bite will be there to make breakfast sammies, burgers and fries and other yummies. They will be there 11-2 on Saturday and 8-3 on Sunday.

Hunters and equitation are still running on Sunday.

Next weekend, March 21/22, we are hosting a CDHJC recognized horse show. Saturday afternoon jumpers and Sunday is hunters and equitation. The full prize list is available on the CDHJC website, cdhjc.org or message us to get a copy emailed. (It was already emailed to the CDHJC membership)

Gentle reminder that there are no lessons this Saturday, Feb. 21 as we are hosting an IHSA show with the Siena College Equestrian Team. Spectators are welcome, especially if you have a young rider getting ready to look at colleges, this is an excellent introduction to the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association format.
