Meet Chief! ✨

Chief is here to remind all the pets out there that wearing an e-collar, whether it’s plastic or inflatable, is nothing to be embarrassed about! 💙

While they may not be the most fashionable accessory, e-collars play a very important role in helping pets heal properly by preventing licking, chewing, or scratching at injuries, hot spots, surgical sites, and bandages. Even a little licking can slow healing, cause irritation, or lead to infection.

Chief would also like everyone to know that this photo is from a previous injury, and he’s doing much better now — though he still wears his “cone of courage” proudly! 🐶

Remember: a short time in an e-collar can help prevent a much longer recovery. 😊

Meet Kenobi! ✨

Kenobi stopped by recently to get his last DHPP booster for his puppy series!

Did you know that the DHPP vaccine helps protect dogs against several serious and potentially life-threatening diseases? DHPP stands for: Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza & Parvovirus.

The typical DHPP vaccine schedule includes:
🐾 First vaccine around 8 weeks of age
🐾 Boosters every 3–4 weeks until at least 16 weeks of age
🐾 A booster again 1 year later
🐾 Then every 1–3 years, as recommended by your veterinarian, based on booster history and lifestyle factors

Keeping up with vaccines is one of the best ways to protect your pup and help them stay healthy, happy, and ready for all of life’s adventures! ❤️

Way to go, Kenobi! 👏🐾
