It’s not often I get to meet my subjects, but I got to do just that today! Meet Asha! Her humans brought her along to pick up her portrait and I was greeted with excitement, sweetness, and even a few kisses from this sweet bundle of cuteness. Her humans were super nice too! 😊

Meet Jake. He was a lucky dog. His human adopted him late in his life, but gave him a lifetime worth of love. Honored that his human’s sister asked me to paint him as a special gift after his passing. A loving gesture honoring the gift of love her sister gave to Jake. ❤️

It will never cease to amaze me how big dogs can curl themselves up into such tiny balls, maybe it’s just because this sweet girl has a lot of fluff! Meet Shelby Blue! No matter how she looks at her humans, they can only seem to look back into her one blue eye. Were you drawn to it too?

This is Beefee. His human was so gracious letting me play with various poses of a ball in his mouth. Something he did to breathe better while nodding off. They just weren’t capturing his essence in a cute way like I was wanting them to. So I embraced the face only his humans could love and accepted the side-eye was for me all along, and just had to realize it was Beefee showing his pretty side!

Meet Hank! There are three things Hank loves most, his human, his bear and his grand humans! I’ve seen evidence that he FaceTimes with his grand humans and one of them might have said they are a tad more excited for a visit from the human when they bring Hank along! 🤭. Love it!

I love being asked to create something from an “idea” from a client, especially when the ensuing brainstorm we have cascades into a meaningful piece. I also love being a part of the joy the thoughtful gift bearer gives to their loved ones. 💕

This is sweet Winnie…unfinished! Oops. In the business leading up to Christmas I forgot to take a pic of her finished portrait. Needless to say, I’m sure her humans love it as much as they do her.

This is Bennie and Brew! (Cousins to Hootie!) I love how easy it is to see personalities come through when painting two side by side. There’s usually one that’s creating adventure and one that’s along for the ride. Hope they’re humans live their portrait!

This is Hootie! This is actually my second time painting Hootie. He’s a little lighter in the muzzle this time, but still doing what ‘s do… being protective of his humans and protective of his stick. ☺️. Happy New Year Hootie!
