So hubby Nathan is always up to help a great cause. And putting a roof over our county 4-h horse arena is long overdue!!! Anyone can donate by Venmo and if he wins, I’ll post photos! Team Miley arrives at the Great Leadline Showdown representing one of the finest Friesian breeding farms in the region. Their horses are known for elegance, beauty, and breathtaking presence. Their father, however, is known for something else entirely: doing whatever his daughters tell him.
This year, the girls decided that Hugo’s natural majesty deserves a rider who matches his level of drama. Since they couldn’t find a professional opera singer or a Dutch nobleman on short notice, they chose the next best thing: Dad. Nathan will be appearing in a formal gown, riding sidesaddle, and trying very hard not to fall off a horse that is worth more than his truck.
The Miley family is beloved in the local horse community for their generosity, hospitality, and willingness to let anyone meet their gentle giants. They host visitors, teach kids, and make everyone feel welcome. But do not let their kindness distract you. These girls love competition, and they would be thrilled to beat Jesse Peters. In fact, they have been preparing for this moment with the same intensity they use when grooming Hugo for a photo shoot.
Hugo, the magnificent Friesian, has accepted his role with quiet dignity. He has carried professional riders, beginners, and starstruck visitors. Today, he will carry a grown man in a gown. Hugo is a true gentleman.
Together, Team Miley brings beauty, comedy, and a touch of royal pageantry to the arena. Whether Nathan can maintain sidesaddle form is uncertain, but the girls are confident, Hugo is patient, and the audience will not forget this performance.
