2 Weeks at Blowing Rock have come and gone, it was real…..WET, COLD and FOGGY!!!! We had some ups and downs but lots of success and spent time with our horse show friends from near and far! There was some shopping, trail riding and lots of great meals! Wyatt had his first Blowing Rock experience and enjoyed the cooler mountain temps and meeting lots of new friends! Hoping for dryer weather next year!

Some highlights include:

⭐️Morgan Green and “Sparticus” class winners in the Low Childrens Hunter Over Fences Week 1 and 2nd in the Hack Week 2!

⭐️Helen Clodfelter and her “A Sunday Kind Of Love” 2nd in the Childrens Hunters Under Saddle Week 2 and 2 3rds Over Fences!

⭐️Audrey Turner and her “Calimero” joined us for the 2nd week and were 2nd in the Ariat Medal!

⭐️Katie Mac Wright and “Winterfell” showed Week 2 and had consistent ribbons Over Fences in the Low Adults and 5th in the Under Saddle! They also competed in the Ariat Medal and were 5th! So proud!

⭐️Mary Katherine Ragsdale showed “Safi VH Gavershof Z” Week 1 to consistent ribbons in a super competitive Younger Adult Hunter division, finishing 2nd in the Under Saddle! Mk also showed “A Sunday Kind of Love” Week 2 to ribbons in the Bryan Jones and Ariat Medal!

⭐️Sandy Dunbeck and her “Nitro R” made their Blowing Rock debut in the Long Stirrup Hunters and finished 8th in the Under Saddle!

⭐️Ansley Cotton and “Calimero” were super consistent both weeks, with great ribbons in the Low Adult Hunters! Cali showed off his fanciest trot in the Under Saddle!

⭐️Carol Anderson and “Safi VH Gavershof Z” were 8th in the Low Adult Under Saddle Week 2!

A Huge Thank You to Mary Katherine Ragsdale for all of her hard work and for Mary Ragsdale taking the horses back and forth between the 2 weeks so the horses could get some time outside!!

It was a super hot and surprisingly wet show at Sedgefield at the Park this weekend, but we still made the best of it! We unfortunately didn’t get a group photo as Sunday afternoon was a wash, literally, but everyone had tons of success!

⭐️Lilly Sokol and “Trix Are For Kids” had a clean sweep in WTC on Saturday at Lilly’s first official show! Unfortunately the rain prevented her from showing Sunday, even after they got soaked waiting to show. They still had fun trotting back to the barn through all of the water!

⭐️Helen Clodfelter and her “A Sunday Kind of Love” made their debut at 3’3”, finishing Champion Saturday and Reserve Sunday in the Jr/Am Hunters, finishing Weekend Champion, Winning the Hack on Sunday! They were also 5th in the Hunt and Go Derby! Indy was so brave going from ring to ring!

⭐️Addison Beane and her “Goldhill’s Anything Goes” had a great weekend in the Children’s Pony Division, finishing Champion both days as well as Weekend Champion. They won all of the Over Fence Classes but 1 and also were 4th in Hunt and Go Derby! So proud of the progress that these two have made!!

⭐️Lyla Buffington and “Bilingual” had consistent rounds Saturday in Long Stirrup finishing 3rd and 5th. They were also 2nd in the Under Saddle and Won the Equitation on the Flat! A pulled shoe kept them from finishing the day Sunday, so Trixie filled in during the flat classes, where they finished 2nd in the Eq on the Flat!

⭐️Laura Folk and “Balou For You” made their horse show debut together a great one! They had beautiful trips Saturday in the Special Hunters, finishing 3rd in the first hunter with an unlucky rail in the 2nd. Bailey just loves Laura and we love to see their bond together! Unfortunately the rain cancelled their division Sunday, but there’s always another horse show!

A Huge Thank You to Mary Katherine Ragsdale for all of her help as always!! We couldn’t do any of it without you!!!

A week at home and then off to the Sedgefield at the Park “A” Show!

So proud of “Woodlands Dressed Blues” and Vivienne Caza finishing out the hunters at USEF Pony Finals, Champion Virginia Bred Pony Association for the Large Ponies! They also finished 21st Over Fences and 28th Overall! Love this pair! A huge Thank You to Alex Dow and Cathy Dow for all of their coaching and time spent with these two at Pony Finals!!!! It truly takes a village! Now onto the Medal!
