High Caliber Stables was so blessed to have many years with Blues Traveler fondly know as Popper”. When Popper headed to Florida this year to retire in the Sunshine State, Ali DeGray made sure to send us our new friend Heartland Five Star. There is only one Popper but we are already loving Five Star. Thank you Ali for sharing so many special horses and ponies with us to continue to promote Saddlebreds and Hackney Ponies to our riders. We will give him the very best life but most importantly share him with the next generation equestrian 💛💙

In just over a week members of the High Caliber will be taking part in both the 5K and half marathon courses of the inaugural 3 Sisters Marathon weekend. A big part of why they are running is to help the Hot Shots raise money for an adaptive wheelchair for non-profit Running for Freedom, who strives to make competitive running inclusive to all “walks” of life.

This is where your help comes in. Our goal is to present Running for Freedom with a check for $5000 to get another adaptive wheelchair but we cannot do it without you. Everyday we get closer to this goal through our GoFundMe or checks that have been written directly to the Hot Shots. No donation is too small and a share is always helpful. Help the Hot Shots to reach the finish line on our fundraiser.

to WCC CH Lorenzo's first trip to the green shavings in 2020, when Evan Orr showed him for owner Melisa Decuir in the ASR National Futurity Three Year Old Park Pleasure class at the Kentucky State Fair WCHS. He earned a 4th place ribbon out of a class of 18, and the ribbons only get better from there! Since his first trip in 2020, he earned a WC and a WCC title with TJ Santaferra in the Junior Park Pleasure division, a couple of RWC titles for owner Olivia Stollenwerk in the Junior Exhibitor 3 gaited show pleasure division, and another WC and RWCC title in the Adult Country Pleasure division in 2024 with his current owner, Sandy Gallagher. He is a special horse for sure, and a wonderful Saddlebred ambassador!

For , we are giving a photo recap of the Saddlebred Museum’s annual fundraising party. This year they crowned the king and queen of the museum, also known as Mr. & Ms. Saddlebred. Dr Joe Kinnarney and Mary were two of the contestants in the “pageant” and as expected, it was entertaining! While neither took home the title, there was a lot of money raised for the museum and quite a bit of fun for all who attended. Definitely a night to remember🕺🏼💃🏼🪩👑💰🐴
