We have some great news at Koenigplatz Kennels. We have announcements for TWO upcoming Lhasa Apso litters.

The first litter is a Hellfire x Saana breeding. Hellfire - GCHB Ch Kai-La-Sha Hellfire - bred by the recently departed Cathy Marley, Lhasa Apso. Saana, GCHG Ch Chic Choix Creekside Santa Anna. Saana is the foundation bitch of Koenigplatz Kennel's Lhasa Apso

The second litter is a Gabriel x Layla breeding. Gabriel - Ch Chic Choix Be Still My Heart At Ky Ken - owned by Lhasa Apso mentor and legend Pat Page. Layla, GCH Ch Koenigplatz's Creekside Set Fire To Rain By Diamella, is the dam of the second litter announcement. She is one of the puppies from Saana first Lhasa Apso litter.

Puppies will be whelped in late June and going to homes in mid-September / early October.

Sad news. Lucy, our Rhodesian Ridgeback, passed away this morning. Both Ava and I are devastated. Her memory will live on in our memories and her two litters of puppies.

Happy Halloween

In the moonlight’s glow on Halloween night,
A Lhasa Apso, small and bright,
With hair like silk and eyes so wide,
Trots through the shadows with ghostly pride.

A witch’s hat upon her head,
She dances where the pumpkins tread,
Her tiny paws on autumn’s floor,
Softly tapping as she explores.

She sniffs the air—what could it be?
The scent of candy or mystery?
Bats and owls begin to croon,
As she howls softly at the moon.

Yet fear, it finds no home in her,
She’s braver than the winds that stir.
With every bark and playful chase,
She lights the dark with joy and grace.

The night is long, but she’s not scared,
For in her heart, she’s well-prepared.
