🐾 AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Classes are here!

Ready to take your dog’s training to the next level? Our CGC classes focus on building the confidence, manners, and real-world skills needed to earn the nationally recognized AKC Canine Good Citizen title.

🎉 Our first class is this Saturday, August 1, at 10:00 AM!

These classes are ideal for dogs that already have basic obedience and leash skills and are ready for the next step.

📍 Hosted at Doggos Dog Park & Pub

Prerequisites:
🐶 Dogs must be at least 6 months old
🐶 Up to date on vaccinations
🐶 Comfortable with basic leash walking and basic commands
🐶 Not appropriate for dogs with reactivity or aggression

This handsome hound mix has joined us in our Day Training Program, and he’s already winning hearts everywhere he goes. Dozer is working hard on building reliable manners and confidence through impulse control, polite greetings, doorway boundaries, and recall training.

🐾 What a great day at Doggo’s Dog Park & Pub this past Saturday! 🐶

Our Training Tips 101 seminar was a success! Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us with your pups. We loved spending time with you and hope you left with helpful tips to strengthen your bond with your dog.

A special thanks to our trainers, Alyssa with Sit Means Sit and Caitlin with Pawsitive Leash Dog Training, for making this event fun, informative, and interactive.

🐾 Our Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep Classes begin August 1! 🐾

We’re so excited to get started, and we’d love for you and your pup to join us!

Whether you’re a Sit Means Sit alumni or brand new to us, these classes are a great way to build your dog’s manners and confidence while working toward their AKC Canine Good Citizen title.

In our CGC Prep Classes, we’ll focus on skills such as:
🐶 Greeting friendly strangers politely
🦮 Loose leash walking
🪑 Sit, down, and stay on cue
📣 Reliable recalls
✨ Calm behavior around distractions
…and so much more!

The best part? You can attend any class, and the CGC test is completely optional until you and your dog are ready. Classes are hosted at Woof, Y'all! We're Doggos.

Please Note: For the safety and success of all participants, dogs displaying reactivity or aggression toward people or other dogs are not permitted in this class. We offer one-on-one training programs specifically designed for dogs with behavioral challenges, as a group setting is often not the best place to begin that training journey.

🐾 Welcome Finn to the SMS family, he is almost a graduate! 🎓

It’s hard to believe this sweet boy is already nearing the end of his training journey with us. Finn has been an absolute superstar every step of the way—smart, eager to learn, and always ready to brighten our day with that adorable face. ❤️

From working on his manners and leash skills to building focus and confidence, Finn has been crushing his goals and making us proud. We’ve loved watching him grow, and it’s been such a joy having him as part of the Sit Means Sit family.
