As seen in our stories, mama's have been moved out and back with the girl meat herd. They will spend the summer in the pond area clearing and sealing. This has been a 2 year project so far. It will probably be another 2 years before it's ready to completely hold water. Still need to rake out a few more trees this winter.

They will figure out their ranking over the next few days and all will be well.

Y'all may have noticed that we started carrying Serenity Now Homestead sourdough bread. We get a delivery every Thursday afternoon and then have fresh bread for the weekend or till we sell out. If we have any left from the weekend and it goes in the freezer and once thawed is still very good. This bread freezes well. So come early in the weekend to get it at it's freshest.

Our story

We are Richard and Kara. We are high school sweethearts with 6 kids. Homeschooling one currently. Our dream is to one day own a farm, but until then we are trying out homesteading in our backyard. We don’t know much but we are learning along the way. Last year we added chickens to the backyard and this year are starting our garden. Homesteading to us is not only about animals and gardening, but also incorporating natural remedies and healing using essentials oils. Getting back to the basics and reconnecting to our roots.
