Update: Fiona just got her rabies vaccination and we confirmed that this girl is only around 1 years old!!! She’s a baby!!

This adorable girl was on the euthanasia list at Greene County Animal Control. She came in as a stray last week, and I was told that she would have been euthanized THIS MORNING if I had not been able to commit to taking her.
Wow, am I glad I did! What an amazing girl she has turned out to be!! 100% sweet, social, dog friendly, walks on a leash and probably more. I'm in love and I know her future adopter will become head over heels in love with her as well!
Tomorrow I'll finish up her vetting, and I will post her profile soon, but for now, she's fed, resting and making pup friends.
We wanted a name that was both feminine and embodied a second chance for her. We chose Fiona!

Some days rescuing is just plain difficult - mentally, emotionally, physically and financially… And then a card like this arrives!!

This card represents so much of what I strive for WTFarm to stand for!
* Helping animals - Smokey is a 16+ year old cat from a hoarding situation
* Helping animal lovers - Smokey was surrendered as her former adopter developed major health issues
* Rescues Helping Rescues - through our partnership with Feline Foster Farm we were able to find Smokey her soft landing
* Matching Adopters/Giving Animals a Loving Landing - Smokey’s family absolutely adores her!! And she adores them!! This little girl has such a special love for her senior “Mokey”!! (She can’t pronounce Smokey yet 😻)

And those gift cards are so incredibly appreciated on my ~36 hour adoption trips!!

We need to report... A FOSTER FAIL!!! Grammy's foster mom has done so much for Grammy! She knows, appreciates and caters to all her quirks, nuances and demands. And they're totally smitten with each other.

So grammy is officially ADOPTED!!! ✨

At around 12 years old, this little poodle mix (10–15lbs) is the definition of a sweetheart. Grammy was found lost, but sadly no one ever came forward to claim her. 💔 Now she’s hoping her true forever family is out there waiting, to love and dote on her in her golden years.

She may be deaf, but that doesn’t stop her from soaking up love and life’s cozy moments. Gentle, affectionate, and full of heart—Grammy just wants a soft spot to nap and someone to adore.

She’s proof that age is just a number when your heart is full of love. 💕 She’s never met a stranger - human or animal!

Baby Diesel has parvo 😭
If not caught early and if the pup isn’t healthy, this can be a fatal disease that could have been prevented with two $12 puppy vaccinations!!! This is a completely preventable illness!!
Diesel’s former owners did not vaccinate him, and despite him receiving his first puppy vaccination the day he arrived, he suddenly seemed a little “off” yesterday. I took him to Animals West Veterinary Hospital this morning and he was confirmed parvo positive.

$24 could have prevented all of this!!!
$189.51 so far and risking Diesel’s life!!

Thankfully - while it’s still early - Diesel is taking his meds and seems to have a little more pep than yesterday.
