Yesterday was a hot one! These were some angry bees and a bee suit on a 90° day is not fun!
This was a large hive under a slate roof. The slate was removed and comb cut from the void. Most of the brood comb was salvaged and the bees were reintroduced in a local apiary.
I usually enjoy honey bee removals, but this one was a tough one!

Homeowner had attempted to close a bat entry to their home using caulk and accidentally trapped the bats inside the attic!
A bat valve was installed to allow the bats to exit but not regain entry again.
After all of the bats had exited the attic, the bat valve is removed and the area properly excluded.

It’s a busy time of year for stinging insects! Bald-faced hornets, yellowjackets (ground bees) and wasp colonies are starting to become more noticeable. Feel free to call with your stinging insect issues!

Got mice?? 🐭
This home had mice entering above their crawl space access. The dark rub marks (sebum) shows they have been using this area frequently! We were called for drippings in the pantry and inspecting the attic, there were several trails and holes throughout the insulation as well.
We were able to set traps inside, close off the main entrance to the home and install exterior rodent bait stations. To help prevent entry of future rodents!

Now that we have our Pesticide applicators license, we can take care of your hornet and Yellowjacket problems!

We had a customer with skunks getting under their porch. After removal, a barrier was installed preventing future problems. Give us a call if you have any “stinky” unwanted visitors!

Here is another honey bee cutout from last month. This hive was much smaller, but same situation as the previous. Bees took up residence in the second floor and required removal.

Finished another honey bee removal today! With the use of thermal imaging, and a special vacuum attachment, we are able to safely remove the entire hive and relocate them to a local apiary. We were even able to catch the queen and mark her so the beekeeper can easily find her in the future!

This was a swarm than took up residence inside someone’s home and was removed by cutting the subfloor from a second floor bedroom. The bees have been there for around 5 weeks, it’s amazing how fast they can creat comb and reproduce!

Another raccoon removal finished up. Having the right equipment helps finish jobs efficiently. One trap was set overnight to catch the adult and the rest were removed the next morning.

We had a great time at Holscher and Hackman garden center this past weekend. They had a great turn out for our presentation on Mole control as well as other nuisance animals that can damage your yard. Looking forward to next year already!

Moles can move quick on top of the ground but can move even faster when in their tunnels!

It’s that time of year again, raccoons and squirrels will be having their young. If you are hearing noises, give us a call! This was a raccoon gaining access to a customers attic under a room addition.
