Well, this is embarrassing.

I went to one Canine Good Citizen class at American Dog School (Fort Collins, CO) and somehow ended up on the cover of a magazine.

I haven't even passed the test yet.

To be fair, I have been working very hard. I've learned how to walk politely through crowds, ignore other dogs (most of the time), focus on my trainer, and practice all the important skills needed to become a Canine Good Citizen.

My biggest challenge so far? Convincing everyone that stopping to make friends with every dog in class should count as a personality trait, not a training issue.

A huge thank you to Trainer Tami Carrasco at American Dog School for helping me become the best version of myself. She makes learning fun, builds my confidence, and help dogs like me learn real-world skills that last a lifetime.

If you're looking for a place to train with your dog, I highly recommend American Dog School. The humans seem pretty smart, and they hand out a lot of treats.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to prepare for my next photoshoot and continue my journey toward becoming an official Canine Good Citizen.

Pool season is officially open!

The whole crew took their first dip of the year, but the real star of the show was Koda. It was her very first time in the pool, and let’s just say… she understood the assignment immediately.

While Rip and the gang acted like seasoned professionals, Koda jumped right in and had the time of her life. Splashing, swimming, zooming, and making sure everyone knew this was HER pool now.

Safe to say summer has officially started at our house.

Today was a big day for Koda!

She attended her first class in American Dog School (Fort Collins, CO) Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep Program, a specialized course designed to help dogs develop the skills, manners, and confidence needed to earn their AKC Canine Good Citizen certification.

The CGC is one of the most recognized certifications in the dog world. To pass, dogs must successfully complete a 10-step evaluation that tests real-world skills such as polite greetings, walking on a loose leash, remaining calm around distractions, coming when called, and demonstrating good behavior in public settings.

What I love about this program is that it’s not just about passing a test—it’s about building a stronger bond between dog and handler while creating well-mannered, confident dogs that can be welcomed anywhere.

Koda is just getting started, but we’re excited to share her progress over the next several weeks as she works toward her certification.

🐰🥚 EASTER UPDATE: WE HAVE A SITUATION. 🥚🐰

The egg hunt was going great…
Baskets were full.
Yard looked cute.
Spring vibes were vibing…

Then Rip showed up.

There are no eggs left.
I repeat — NO EGGS LEFT.

He found them.
He opened them.
He ate them.
He has zero regrets.

Somewhere there’s supposed to be a “golden egg”… but Rip said “that was actually the appetizer.”

If your dog hasn’t found their eggs yet… it’s because Rip already did.

The Easter Bunny showed up today…
and honestly, I’m not impressed.

First of all—
he’s leaving eggs everywhere like that’s acceptable behavior.

Second—
no steak? No bacon? Just… candy?

Unbelievable.

Don’t worry though, I’ve taken over quality control.
Every basket will be thoroughly inspected.
