Keep an eye on pets and ensure they have a safe place.

Not everyone enjoys booming, flashy fireworks. It's very common for pets to be terrified of fireworks (and thunderstorms) and will sometimes display some of these behaviors as signs of fear and anxiety.

To help your pet feel more comfortable and reduce anxiety, speak to your primary veterinarian. They can provide guidance and recommend steps to ensure your pet's well-being during these stressful times.

☀️ Hotter Temps + Higher Humidity = Safety First for Our Pets! 🐾

Hey pet parents! With today's heat advisory in effect and the temperatures soaring, it’s crucial to keep our furry friends cool and safe. 🌡️ The combination of hot weather and high humidity can be tough on your pets, and they can overheat quickly.

👉 Did you know? Asphalt and pavement can get dangerously hot, reaching up to 140°F (60°C) or more on a sunny day! 🔥 This can burn your pet’s paws in just a few seconds. So if it’s too hot for you to walk barefoot, it’s definitely too hot for your dog.

🌞 How we're keeping your pets safe:
* For any walks that do occur, we'll bring plenty of water to keep your pets hydrated.
* We’ll also focus on shorter, cooler walks and early morning or late evening outings when the temperatures drop.
* For pets who need some indoor playtime, we’ve got plenty of enrichment activities lined up to keep their minds engaged and their bodies active—without the heat stress! 🧩🎾

Pro tip for pet owners: Try to limit outdoor time during the peak heat of the day, and always have water available for your pets to drink. If you have a pet with thick fur, consider scheduling indoor sessions for some TLC and cool-down time.
