Iron: supports brain function and forms hemoglobin

Cooling vs neutral vs warming proteins, what does that mean?

Dogs usually have more of a “cold energy” or a “warm energy” and it’s usually pretty easy to tell which way they lean.

Signs of warm-energy dogs:

- Prone to itching or hot spots

- Overheated easily and pants often

- Inflamed or allergic

- Anxious or restless

- Does not like to cuddle often- doesn’t like being covered with blankets

- Itchy ears or chronic ear infections

- Restlessness, pacing, or irritability

Signs of a cool energy dog:

- Prefers warm spots to nap and being under blankets

- Prone to fatigue, in colder weather

- GI issues such as constipation

- Susceptible to viruses, yeasts, bacteria infections and pathogens

Warming meats are believed to help the system of a cool-energy dog. While neutral or cooling meats are the optimal choices for a warm energy dog.

Koda is definitely a cool energy dog and during the winter I feed warm and neutral meats to support his system, however in the summer time he is in the sun nearly all day and I switch it up and feed him the more cooling/neutral meats such as rabbit, duck, turkey and pork.

A few days ago, July 8th, marked one year without my boy, Champion. From 12 to 27yrs old he filled my days with laughter, adventure, sass, and love. I miss him everyday but am thankful because I truly believe he sent down a little of himself to Koda due to everyday Koda acting and looking a little more like him.

My tattoo will always remind me that he’s here with me, holding my hand through everyday.

Love you bubba 💙
