🧡 Miss Swan's Story
Miss Swan is a lovely matured lady at about 5 years old and about 61 lbs. She came to us as a stray, so her history is a mystery. She is very treat and ball motivated and will play fetch for hours if she could! She brings the ball ball and will drop it onto the ground and will wait for you to throw it. So far we learned she knows "sit", "shake" and "lay down", but she could use some help on her leash manners. We would recommend she go to someone who is stable on their feet. She's met other dogs here nicely, but would rather hangout than play with them. We are unsure of her history with kids or cats, but we hope she could do well with proper introductions. She is a very sweet girl who loves an ear rub or a rear-end scratch. Are you willing to help rewrite her future?
She's fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on parasite preventatives. She is $185 to bring home, but mention this ad and Shelter Friends will pay half that fee.

Happy first day of Summer tomorrow and here in Josephine County, we've already had a few fires with one calling for a Level 3 GO NOW evacuation notice. Our pets rely on us every day for food, shelter, and love. In an emergency, they rely on us even more. Taking the time to prepare today can help protect them when they need us most. 🧡🐾

If you couldn't tell.. my name is Daisy! I'm a very sweet girl at ~3.5 years old and ~50 lbs. I came in due to no fault of my own and now I'm looking for a place to call home! I am very treat motivated and I'm a known people pleaser. I get along well with other dogs and I've lived with cats, kids, and livestock and reportedly have done well! I was raised outdoors, but I wouldn't mind adjusting to living inside! I came in a bit thin and I have been slowly but surely getting to an appropriate, healthy weight. I love to lean into your legs for loving's or receive rear-end or under the collar scratches. I'm looking for my fur-ever, could that be you?

Meet Taboo! This boy is about 2 months old. When he was found, he was in a fabrication shop and covered in grease! After a bath, he was feeling soo much better. Taboo is very sweet, and still a little timid for now. But it doesn't take much to get him to open up!

🐾 Hot pavement can burn your dog's paws in seconds.
As temperatures rise, sidewalks, asphalt, and parking lots can become much hotter than the air around us. If it's too hot for the back of your hand to comfortably touch for 7 seconds, it's too hot for your dog's paws.
Before heading out for a walk:
☀️ Walk during cooler morning or evening hours
☀️ Stick to grass or shaded paths when possible
☀️ Watch for signs of discomfort, limping, or excessive licking of paws
☀️ Always bring water for you and your pup

Taki is a dapper gentleman at ~6 years old and ~86 lbs. This big boy has a real big heart with lots of love to give. He will lean into your leg for ear scratches or rear-end scratches. He loves to stay right by your side, no matter what you are doing! Taki does great on leash and doesn't pull much at all. He's met other dogs and he's met them nicely, but prefers to seek out human affection over dog affection. We are unsure of his history with kids or cats, but we are hopeful that he could do well due to his gentle demeanor!
He's fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on parasite preventatives. He is $185 to bring home, but mention this ad and Shelter Friends will pay half that fee.
🧡 Meet Cassini
Meet Cassini! This lovely lady is about 2-3 years old. She has been used to living indoors only. She has lived with kids and dogs before! Cassini is loving and curious, and readily accepts as many pets as you'll give her. Cassini is very tidy is is said to have excellent litter box manners in the home. She doesn't love to be picked up too much, but gladly will sit on your lap and loves to be pet!

Cooper is an extremely intelligent border collie mix. He is a tall and handsome 56 pounds, and is about 3 and a half years old. He is very treat motivated and has decent recall. He knows his name very well and knows sit and lay down, but prefers to be on the move. He can be a little shy with new people, and trusts quickly. He loves to explore and is learning that going on adventures is awesome! He is pretty easy to walk on leash. He previously lived with other dogs, cats and livestock and was said he did good with everyone. We would recommend older, respectful kids due to his initial shy nature. Cooper is a very sweet boy who just wants somebody to love him, could that be you?

🧡 Meet Jasmine
My name is Jasmine or Jazzy and I am a fixed 13 year old female! I was brought into the shelter through no fault of my own, and I'm searching for a loving comfortable home to enjoy my golden years. I have spent all my life as an indoor kitty and that's what I prefer. I am litter box trained, and I am great with kids! I prefer quieter and calmer environments, with lots of love and soft blankets to sleep on. I have had a little bump on my face for quite a few years now, and it hasn't impacted my life at all. Vet staff believes it's no cause for concern, and I don't seem to care about my beauty mark one bit! As a senior, I have slowed down somewhat and don't keep up with my grooming as much, but my favorite thing in this world is being brushed. I will love you forever if you brush me!!!! Flint is a handsome fella at ~4 year old and ~90 lbs! He's a big guy with a big heart and loves to jump into your lap for love! Adventures (walks, hikes, etc) are super fun to him and would love someone just as adventurous as him! He's met other dogs and has done well with respectful dogs, but is appropriately corrective towards dogs with no manners. He lived with cats for a few months and was reported to be friendly and playful with them! We are unsure of his history with kids, but his previous owner stated he has such a sweet temperament that he believes he would do well with them. He's a loving, goofy, and attentive boy and he's looking for his new best friend, could that be you?
