🐾APOLLO HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!!

Meet Apollo — our longest resident. 💔

This handsome 1-year-old Husky has been with us for FOUR months, and we cannot believe he is still waiting for a family of his own.

Apollo is such a sweet boy who has made so much progress during his time with us. One of our employees has recently been taking him home, and he has been learning so many important life skills! He rides wonderfully in the car, is learning to heel on leash, and absolutely loves kids.

Apollo also does great with other dogs, and he is both potty trained and crate trained. He does well with confident indoor cats, though like many young Huskies, he may chase cats outside if given the opportunity.

He is a smart, loving dog who just needs someone willing to continue helping him learn and thrive. Shelter life is hard on active, social dogs like Apollo, and he truly deserves a home where he can finally settle in and be part of a family.

Right now, we have EIGHT dogs at the shelter that are less than 1 year old — and that is something we do not see very often.

From tiny 3–5 week old Lab mix puppies, to playful 4-month-old Pomeranian mixes, to sweet older puppies including a 6-month-old Lab, a 6-month-old Lab mix, and a 9-month-old Labradoodle, we have so many young dogs hoping to find families of their own.

Puppies and young dogs should be learning about love, family life, couches, toys, and bedtime snuggles — not growing up in a shelter environment. While we are doing everything we can to care for them, what they truly need are homes.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post. The more people who see these dogs, the better chance they have at finding loving families quickly. ❤️

It has been a busy week at the shelter! We have taken in several new dogs over the last few days. Some are brand new faces, while a few are dogs that have sadly found themselves back with us again.

Every dog that comes through our doors deserves a safe place, a full belly, and a second chance at finding a loving home. From playful puppies to sweet adult dogs, each one has their own personality and story to tell.

As always, we are working hard to make sure they are comfortable, vaccinated, vetted, and ready for adoption. If you have been thinking about adding a furry family member to your home, now is a great time to stop by and meet some of our newest arrivals.

In a few weeks we will have these little cuties available. They are Lab and Mastiff mix puppies. They are currently 5 weeks old. We have 2 boys and 1 female. Their mom passed away so they are with us now.

Looking for a small dog with a big personality? We currently have not one, but TWO adorable Yorkie mixes looking for forever homes! 🐾

✨ Meet Chase
Chase is a 1½-year-old Yorkie mix weighing 16 pounds. This friendly little guy came to us after he kept finding himself in trouble with the neighbors whenever he wasn’t kept safely at home. Chase loves people, is potty trained, and has a happy, social personality that makes him easy to love.

✨ Meet Sammie
Sammie is a 3-year-old Yorkie/Corgi mix weighing 14 pounds. She came to us through no fault of her own while her family was going through a difficult time. Sammie is outgoing, playful, and full of energy. We think she would thrive with an active family or a home where she has room to run and play.

Scooby is still looking for his forever home! ❤️

We were told this handsome guy is a Great Dane/Mastiff mix, but after getting to know him, we’re starting to think there may be some German Shepherd mixed in there too! Whatever he is, one thing is certain—he’s 100% lovable.

At just 11 months old and already 101 pounds, Scooby is a BIG puppy with an even bigger personality. He’s sweet, goofy, and always keeps us entertained. His favorite things? Toys, attention, and apparently using his food bowl as a skateboard. Yes, really. He flips it over and rides it across the floor like he’s training for the X Games. 😂

Scooby is still learning his manners and will need a strong, patient owner who can continue working with him as he grows into the amazing dog we know he can be. He’s a lovable boy who just needs guidance, structure, and someone willing to help build his confidence.

If you’re looking for a giant best friend who will keep you laughing every day, Scooby might be your perfect match. 🐾

Our shelter has absolutely exploded over the past week and a half—and we need your help now more than ever.

In just a short time, we’ve taken in 10 dogs. Some are brand new to us, and some are familiar faces who have unfortunately been returned through no fault of their own. It’s been a sudden and overwhelming increase, and our kennels are filling up fast.

Right now, we have dogs of all shapes and sizes—from 100+ pound gentle giants all the way down to tiny 10-pound Shih Tzus, plus plenty in between. Each one has their own story, but they all have one thing in common: they’re looking for a second chance.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a pet to your family, now is the time. Adopting not only gives one of these dogs a home—it also opens up space for us to continue helping others in need.
