Daily horseback riding – from 2 to 5 hours a day in the saddle. We ride in the arenas, in the corrals and on the trails. Length of riding time depends on the camp program you choose. Ground School – Learn to groom and saddle and how to handle a horse on the ground, including cleaning the hooves. Horse Care – Learn to feed, how to clean tack, clean stalls, and take horses to their paddocks or pastures. Games and Horsy Activities – on the ground and in the saddle. Horse-Shoeing Demonstration - our kid-friendly horseshoer welcomes your questions. Friday Horse Show with ribbons, trophies and awards. Safe and positive environment. Friendship circles, team-building activities and barn buddies. Small classes - limited enrollment.

We hope to see you soon at our wonderful 113 acre ranch near Granite Falls, WA. The natural forests and meadows, the Pilchuck River, the Cascade foothills, and the rustic charm of our ranch create an atmosphere of "days gone by". Enjoy riding with us all year, not just during summer day camp. We offer a wide variety of activities for children, tweens, teens, adults who want to learn all about horses and returning riders at our "down-home" riding stable. We started our horse day camp program in the summer of 1978 after we'd moved here in October 1977 from The Funny Farm, our pony farm south of Everett, a short distance from Silver Lake.

With more than 50 years in the horse business, we still feature:
Gentle, sweet horses who love carrots
Caring, experienced owners - yes, we're still the same people who taught horseback riding to children back in the day.
Outdoor riding arenas, corrals and an indoor riding arena
Riding Trails
Small riding groups - Maximum of 10 students to adult instructors.

AUTUMN RIDING CAMP SESSIONS START IN SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER!

For Beginners ages 8-14 years

Join us for a fun-filled day camp with gentle horses! Ride, saddle, groom, play games on horseback, and learn all about horse care. This is a horse-available program, so reserve your spot now!

Camp Hours:

Saturdays, 10AM–5:30PM
3 Saturdays in September
2 Saturdays in October

Session Costs:

September: $435.00
October: $319.00

How to Register:
Complete the application and send it with a $75 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot!

Important Reminders:

Bring long, skinny carrots for your horse, hand sanitizer, and lunch.
Each rider MUST WEAR AN EQUESTRIAN HELMET (Rental helmets available for $25.00 per session).
