A very rare find in nature…. Locked trophy bull moose antlers. This is a very slow and agonizing death when these big creatures fight and get their antlers locked together. An Alaskan resident and bush pilot saw these two moose from his plane. One was still barely alive and the other one was dead. Wolves and a brown bear were having a standoff over the carcass. Not able to approach the moose until the next day, they had been partiality consumed, and one had its muzzle chewed off. All males in nature fight over dominance and breeding rights during the rut (breeding season). It is more common to see deer locked together during fights, locked elk antlers are rare also, but the configuration of moose antlers make it extremely rare. We’re going to stain the antlers to their natural color so the owner can display them in his home.
