Have a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend!!! And now we are only throwing out this PSA. The animal shelter has informed us that several animals in the past few weeks have gone missing or have been brought to the animal shelter. All of these animals have not had tags or microchips. More than likely if they had tags on the people who found them would have called the owners directly. Grand County's ordinance is that all dogs have to have a county tag and rabies tag displayed on their collar. Name tags are also a huge benefit to the dog as well as the owner. Microchips are a blessing for dogs and cats. Things happen, everybody gets that. However, animals rely on their people to keep them safe Again, this is just a friendly reminder because we want all the animals to be safe out there.
PS- the animal shelter does have a name tag engraver. Small tags-$6/Large tags-$8. All proceeds go to Pet Pals)
