Don't let his intimidating look fool you, Cannon is just a snorting piggy who wants to go wee wee wee into his forever home! We think he is a Shar Pei mix, around 6 years old, current on vaccines, and negative for heartworm. He is set to be neutered. He was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, has been started on medication and is doing well! He is great with children, other dogs, and cats. He is a real sweetheart. His favorite thing to do is roll around in the grass outside in the sunshine! 💚🐾

Keebler is another case that we assisted Montgomery County Animal Care and Control in treating. Keebler presented with puppy strangles, also known as juvenile cellulitis. It is a rare and painful skin condition that affects young puppies. He was treated with antibiotics, steroids, and daily baths. There is some permanent scarring to his nose but he has otherwise made a full recovery. Dr. P's husband fell in love with this little guy during his treatment and he is now a part of their family! 💙

We have been fortunate to be able to help Montgomery County Animal Care and Control with some interesting cases recently. Some of these animals are now available for adoption at their facility.

Cobain came into MCACC with a very large growth on his right front foot. Dr. P removed the growth by amputating the toe. The growth was submitted for biopsy. The great news is it was benign and the margins were clear! Cobain is 4 years old, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines and neutered. He is a goofball that has won everyone over at the shelter. He is great with children and loves to play with other dogs. Please contact Montgomery County Animal Control if you are interested in adopting.

🚨 Harlan needs YOUR help! 🚨

Our sweet girl Harlan started limping on Monday afternoon. Turns out, she played a little too hard and ended up with a small fracture in her rear leg. She is scheduled to go into surgery tomorrow to repair the injury. However, this surgery is going to be pretty expensive, and that's where YOU come in! Are there any wildlife rehabbers out there that can provide assistance? Montgomery County Animal Care and Control has a female cardinal with an injured wing. They have reached out to numerous rehabbers with no response. Can you help us get this little lady the care she needs? Please comment or send us a message if you can help/know of anyone that can. Remember Emmitt? 🥰

This wonderful video takes a look at his amazing journey to his forever home. So many great organizations came together to get him to where he is today. Emmitt came to us here at Middle Tennessee Veterinary Center from Robertson County Animal Control when he was found with a portion of his front leg missing. Donations to our Moses' mission fund through the Veterinary Care Foundation made amputation surgery possible. CASA Transport found him a ride with Pilots N Paws to Better Together Dog Rescue in Massachusetts where he went to his foster Kaylee Metelica Brzezinski and Mamba, and eventually his forever home. ❤️✨
