The this week is MISS PIGGY! 🐷🤍

This sweet girl came to us as a transfer from , and now she’s hoping her forever family is just around the corner.

Miss Piggy is as gentle as they come! She has a calm, loving personality and enjoys affection, companionship, and the simple comforts of home.

Miss Piggy is FIV-positive, and we know that can sound intimidating to some adopters, but it shouldn’t be! FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is often misunderstood. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, healthy lives with proper veterinary care. The virus is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, not through sharing food bowls, water dishes, litter boxes, or grooming one another. In many cases, FIV-positive cats can safely live with FIV-negative cats in peaceful households.

Unfortunately, many wonderful cats are overlooked simply because of an FIV diagnosis. We think Miss Piggy (along with all of our other immunocompromised friends) deserves better than that. She deserves a family who sees her for who she is: a loving, affectionate cat with so much to offer!

If you’re looking for a kind-hearted companion, Miss Piggy may be your perfect match. 💞💞

This May, we had the joy of watching so many wonderful cats find their forever homes. Some of our longer residents finally packed their bags and headed off to start the next chapter of their lives, and there’s nothing quite like seeing that happen!!

Congratulations to all of our May adopters, and here’s to even more happy endings in the months ahead ❤️🐾

CAT OF THE WEEK: SYLVESTER ✨🤵‍♂️

Sylvester has had anything but an easy start with us, but through it all, this guy has stayed endlessly loving, goofy, and full of life!

When Sylvester first arrived in our care, he was battling a stubborn case of ringworm that took a long time to fully clear. Thankfully, he is now healthy and ringworm-free! Then, just when we thought he was finally in the clear, we discovered he had received an incomplete neuter procedure before coming to us. After an exam with and an exploratory surgery, Sylvester is now recovering well and feeling much better!

And despite all of that? He still wakes up every day ready to play, scream for attention, and zoom around like nothing can stop him (and nothing can)!

Sylvester is about 1 year old and packed with personality. He’s incredibly talkative, wildly playful, affectionate, and always looking for someone to hang out with. We think he could do well with another energetic cat or even a dog — basically anyone who can keep up with his antics (lovingly).

After everything he’s been through, we would love nothing more than to see Sylvester finally get the happy ending he deserves. 🖤🤍

The this week is Lucy. 🩶🤍

Lucy was originally adopted from Town Cats as a kitten, and now, 8 years later, she’s back with us again. So yes, we will absolutely be posting her baby pic because just look at her!!

Lucy came back to us after being surrendered for litter box issues, but we’re happy to share that she is feeling much better now. She has grown from a tiny kitten into a sweet, affectionate girl who loves cozy routines, sleeping in bed, making biscuits, watching cat TV from her hammock, and quietly hanging out near her people. She is not really a party girl. She is more of a “let’s sit together in comfortable silence while I judge birds outside the window” kind of girl.

Lucy can be a bit sensitive to fast movements and can get overwhelmed easily, so she does best with someone who understands cat body language and gives her time to feel safe. Because of this, she will need to be the only cat in the home so she can fully relax and thrive.

Once she feels secure, she becomes incredibly loving and likes to stay close by. A calm home, a patient person, a comfy bed, and maybe a reliable bird channel subscription would be just what this droopy-eyed-girl needs.

After 7 years, we would really love for her next home to be forever!

This is Madman 🩶

Just a few weeks ago, we thought we were dealing with a feral cat. After being abandoned by the family he once belonged to, Madman spent 6 months surviving outside before a kind family brought him to us. He arrived terrified, defensive, and still unneutered.

But trauma can look a lot like feral behavior.
Once neutered and given time to decompress, Madman began showing us who he really is. He loves attention, talks nonstop, rolls over for belly rubs, and makes biscuits on his favorite towel like a total goofball!

Being dumped left him deeply insecure in large open spaces, so we recently started confidence building sessions in our bathroom. In less than 10 minutes during his first session, he chose to leave his carrier, ate a whole Churu, flopped over for pets, and completely melted into affection. We were so proud of him!!

Dumping cats does not “set them free.” It causes real trauma, especially for former house cats trying to survive outdoors. Neutering and patience can truly change lives.

Madman still needs someone willing to move at his pace and earn his trust gently, but underneath it all is a cat with so much love to give.

Shuri first came to Town Cats in 2024 after she, her mom, and her siblings were found outside together. Since then, she’s grown from a shy little kitten into a sweet, gentle cat with the cutest raspy meows and tiny trills that somehow make her even more charming.

She can be a little reserved at first, but once she feels safe and cozy, her personality starts to shine. Shuri loves being near her people, quietly following along and keeping you company throughout the day.

Shuri was adopted once before, but due to changes in her adopter’s living environment, she was returned to our care through no fault of her own. Since then, she’s spent the past few months settling into foster care, rebuilding her confidence, and getting ready for her next chapter.

Now, Shuri is truly ready to find a forever home. One with patience, consistency, and someone willing to let her open up in her own time. And when she does? You’ll be rewarded with one very loyal little shadow and a soundtrack of tiny trills.

There’s a kitten picture of Shuri tucked in between her current foster photos. Look how much she has grown. From a tiny outdoor kitten to the sweet young cat she is today, we’re so proud of her journey and cannot wait to see her finally find the forever home she deserves.

Check out our new Kitty Photocards!

Each month, we’ll feature one or two of our adoptable cats with their very own collectible photocard, available for visitors who stop by our events. On the back, you’ll find their personal profile so you can get to know them a little better.

This month, Magnolia’s photocard is available, along with a limited number of Sylvester cards from April.

Once a particular card runs out, it won’t be reprinted in exactly the same design — so collect them while you can. Keep them, frame them, decorate your desk with them, or tuck them somewhere that’ll make you smile on a rough day.

Keep an eye on our socials to see which kitties will be featured next, and tag us if you spot one of our cards out in the wild.

Happy collecting!

Meet our Cat of the Week: Mr. Peanutbutter 🧡

This 4yo XXL 20-pound orange fluff ball is equal parts distinguished gentleman and oversized throw pillow. Mr. Peanutbutter likes the finer things in life: comfy beds, soft chairs, good toys, and people who understand that trust is earned, not rushed.

He can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but once he decides you’re part of his circle, he becomes a chatty little companion who likes to stay nearby and keep you company. His favorite thing in the world are cheek scratches. If you’re lucky enough to receive a belly flop from him, congratulations! You’ve reached elite status.

Mr. Peanutbutter is looking for a calm, predictable home where he can be the king of the castle as your one and only pet. He’d do best with someone cat savvy who understands feline body language, respects boundaries, and appreciates letting a cat come to you on his own terms.

Underneath all that orange fluff is a sweet, thoughtful boy who just wants a cozy place to lounge and someone patient enough to love him the way he needs!
