Happy Dog

Five dogs. Five different personalities. One incredible trainer. And ALL OFF LEASH! 🐾

Sometimes you just have to stop and appreciate what you’re watching. Here is Kerry working with five separate Board & Train dogs, all together, off leash in our beautiful lakeside setting filled with distractions of nature.

And here’s the really amazing part… these dogs have been with us for LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!

Each dog comes to us with their own challenges, habits, personalities, and learning needs. Watching Kerry build that communication, confidence, and connection with them in such a short amount of time is pretty phenomenal.

This is what happens when experience, consistency, patience, and a genuine connection with dogs come together. ❤️

And we have a little room left for November!

If you’ve been thinking about getting your puppy’s foundation started, improving manners, building obedience, or simply having a dog you can confidently enjoy anywhere, we’d love to talk with you.

Let Kerry help bring out the very best in your dog!

📩 Message Happy Dog for information on our November Board & Train openings or call Kerry at 218-994-6446.

We’re pretty proud of this guy and the work he does with these dogs! ❤️

🐾❤️ SOMETIMES, ALL A DOG NEEDS IS SOMEONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM. ❤️🐾

Meet Toivo. When he first came to us, he had energy to spare, struggled with loose-leash walking, barked because he didn’t know what to do with all that energy, and honestly seemed like a lost boy trying to figure out his place in the world.

But here’s the thing about dogs… sometimes what looks like a handful is really just a dog who hasn’t found the right direction yet. ❤️

Toivo didn’t need someone to give up on him. He needed patience, consistency, guidance, and someone willing to figure out how to reach him.

And once that connection happened? WOW. 🐶

He started finding his focus. He discovered that training could be fun. He wanted to work, wanted to learn, and wanted to please. You could see him starting to understand what was being asked of him, and watching that confidence grow has been incredible.

Kerry has done a phenomenal job with this boy, and the amazing part? This video shows Toivo just ONE WEEK into his two-week Board & Train program! He’s already making tremendous progress, and we couldn’t be prouder of him.

This is why we do what we do at Happy Dog. It’s not about breaking a dog’s spirit or expecting perfection. It’s about building a relationship, understanding the dog in front of you, and helping him discover just how good he can be.

Sometimes the dog everyone thinks is a handful just needs someone to show him the way. 🐾❤️

And Toivo? He’s proving that in the most beautiful way.

Happy Dog — helping dogs and their people find their way together, one paw at a time. 🐾

📩 Interested in our two-week Basic Board & Train or four-week Advanced program? We have a few openings for November! Message us to talk about your dog and see if our program is a good fit.

Oh, and Happy Halloween!🎃
