Meet "Lexi". She is approximately 6-7 yrs old and is a treasure. Lexi was rescued in middle TN and has been living with a foster family near Knoxville. She is looking for a forever home.
Here's what we can tell you.
This girl is very active and would love to be playing all day. She will need an active family. She loves kids and is friendly with strangers. Her foster family took her camping and she loved that as well.
Lexi does fine with other dogs but does no appreciate a dog that gets in her face.
She is housebroken, knows many commands, is spayed, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention.

Her adoption fee is $375 and we will require a fence.

UPDATE: ROSCOE HAS FOUND A FOSTER

This is 18 mth old, "Roscoe". He was thrown off the back of a pick up truck in MS ...still trapped in his crate. Happily for him, some kind people witnessed it and stopped to help him. He was dazed and just sitting quietly beside his shattered crate.
Roscoe is a healthy boy, whip smart, energetic and not weighed down by the cruelty he's experienced. He would love an active family or someone interested in dog sports like agility.
We're always amazed at how quickly dogs decide they want to trust someone and belong to someone.
Roscoe's ideal home would not have small children (his energy could be too much for them} . An active home with perhaps another non dominant dog would be great. An only dog home would also be great.

UPDATE: WE HAVE FOUND A FOSTER FOR FLARE
This is "Flare". She is just 6 mths old and is terrified in a shelter where it is loud and strange. She was turned in by her owners because she has too much herding drive for tiny kids (as do most border collies) but is otherwise a sweet, loving girl.

UPDATE: RAZ HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING

Meet "Raz" this stunning boy is a purebred male border collie who will be 2 at the end of this mth. His color is called "Gold" in the border collie world. He is a true border collie. Lots and lots of energy, lots of play, lots of affection for his people. He bonds quickly with people. Just a sweetheart of a dog.
Like almost all border collies we've known, he needs a minute to meet strangers but, once he decides you're ok, he's all about getting all the attention and love he can.
Raz shows alot of herding potential so he might be a good candidate for a home that wants that. Because of his love of herding, he would not be a good candidate for a home with tiny kids who don't want to be herded like sheep.
We have not tested him with cats but he loves other dogs.
Raz needs a foster or foster to adopt home. He is currently in the Memphis area.
He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and on heartworm prevention. As we do with all of our dogs, we will require a fenced yard.

Here's "Simon". Honestly we thought he was a bc mix but maybe yes, maybe no. Whatever he is, we know this... he is a huge bundle of love. Simon weighs about 90 lbs and he loves other dogs and people. Because of his size, we don't think small kids are a great fit and we don't know about cats. He has been neutered, vaccinated and is on heartworm prevention. Simon is being fostered in Bolivar, TN. he is about 3 years old. His adoption fee is $325

UPDATE: Here's 'Rhea" This is the senior girl we recently rescued from a local shelter. She was so sad there where she had been abandoned by her family.
Look at her now. She has a new home where she is well loved and she is living the good life. The recliner is her favorite napping place
This makes us so happy.

Whew! This has been a busy week. Four bc boys and their parents, turned into an AL shelter. Gorgeous , sweet dogs.
Today, this beautiful, sad, senior girl turned into a shelter in MS. She wouldn't lift her head...she was so defeated.
All are on to better lives. Our fosters, donors and transporters allow us to keep going. Our thanks to all of them.
