Well, it’s that time of year again…how is it already the middle of August?! ☀️🐾

Although we aren’t quite shutting down completely this year, our office will be closed for a few days while we deep clean, reset, tackle some projects, and take a little time to unwind after another wonderfully busy summer. With the addition of Bri this past year, the three of us were able to stagger our personal vacations instead of completely closing down and honestly, that has been so nice! It allows us each to get a little time away while still keeping things running here at Happy Tails. 💛

I am so very thankful for another summer (18 SUMMERS TO BE EXACT) in the books, our amazing clients who continue to trust us with their babies, & our little team that keeps this place going strong day after day. Now it’s time for our annual end-of-summer reset so we can head into Fall feeling refreshed! 🍂🐶🐱

A little Thursday sunshine and a whole lot of cuteness around here! ☀️

We’ve got a new friend to introduce-Yeti! He joined one of our favorite families, who are officially back up to four dogs…haha. They’re amazing, that’s for sure!

We’ve also had some of the sweetest little friend groups around here lately. It’s so fun watching different personalities blend together so nicely. My goodness, we have some adorable pups with us this week! They sure know how to make the good days even better and somehow have a way of cheering you up on even the hardest ones. That’s one of the best parts of this place. 💛

Happy Tuesday! 🐾

Our daycare and play dates have been so stinking cute lately! And the cats have really been performing for the camera too. Seriously…we have the cutest clients ever. Between the happy faces, silly personalities, and sweet little friendships, they sure know how to make our days better!

We’ve been extra thankful lately-for the busy moments, the calm silences, our wonderful clients, all of these sweet faces…and most definitely the air conditioning! 😅

These last few weeks of summer are still keeping us on our toes with lots of happy tails, kitty snuggles and everything in between! 💕🐶🐱

Happy August! 😎

We honestly can’t believe August is already here! Summer always seems to fly by, even when trying your best to savor every minute! Especially when the days are filled with a whirlwind of check-ins/check-outs, playtime, treats, and lots of sweet faces.

We mentioned being full to the brim for the next few weeks, and we definitely weren’t kidding! Around here, we’re just putting one paw in front of the other, taking it day by day, and working hard!! 🐾 Enjoy:)

Today we celebrated Cora’s 1st Birthday with the sweetest little party! Thank you so much to all of her friends (Mali, Percy, Bella, Roxy & Echo) who joined in..and even brought her presents! That melted my heart!! I think it’s safe to say she had the BEST day ever filled with bubbles, beach balls, pool time, treats, and plenty of time with her friends. 🫧🐾 It truly is the simple things in life that mean the most!

Meanwhile, our summer revolving door keeps spinning! We welcomed 8 more guests today, 5 headed home, and another 11 will be checking in tomorrow. We are officially full to the brim for the next few weeks and so grateful to spend our summer caring for so many wonderful furry friends! ❤️

Happy Tuesday!

It looks like we beat the stormy weather coming through and managed to fit in some outdoor playtime after all!

Sweet Harley joined us for her very first daycare visit-how adorable is she?!

Luckily, Friday is still looking beautiful for Cora’s 1st birthday party! We can’t wait to celebrate with her and all of her furry friends! 🎉🐾

Happy Friday! ☀️

We enjoyed even more outdoor fun today, and these guys absolutely love their pool time! We welcomed Theo, Frank, Jax, Katie, Nola, Sadie, Pyper, Mikey, Ginger, and Mali, who joined us for daycare. Tomorrow, six more cuties check in to round out our full house!

And…we have a birthday coming up! 🎉 Next Friday 7-31, one week from today, Cora is turning ONE! She’ll be joining us for daycare to celebrate with all of her friends. If your pup would like to join the party, send us a message! We are fully booked for overnight boarding through 8-4, but we do have four daycare spots available for Cora’s big day!

Well, they’ve officially started breaking ground on the new development across from the kennel. As someone who was born and raised here, who loves animals and nature so deeply-it’s incredibly hard to watch all of the breathtaking woods being taken down. Our quiet country setting is changing, and hearing the machinery in the background definitely feels heavy on the heart. 💔

If you’re driving down Shingle Point Road, please be extra cautious. We’ve been seeing a lot of deer out at all hours of the day lately, likely being displaced by all the activity.

On a brighter note, it is absolutely beautiful outside today! The sun is shining, the weather feels wonderful, and we’re soaking up every peaceful minute we can with all of our furry friends. ☀️🐾
