Did you know that Beagles’ ears help their noses to smell? When drawn out, a Beagle’s ears reach the end of their nose. Their long ears actually help to catch scent particles and keep them close to their nose, which allows them to take in as much information as possible. Interesting, right? For more information on care for Beagles and other dog breeds, give us a call at 609-262-0321.

Large breed dogs with deep, narrow chests are at higher risk of bloat, also known as gastric dilatation volvulus (GDV). When a dog bloats, its stomach twists and fills with gas, which can cut off blood supply to the stomach and spleen. Bloat commonly happens when a dog ingests large amounts of food or water too quickly. Know the warning signs and be prepared in case of an emergency. Contact us at 609-262-0321 with any questions.

Feline FRAPs most often occur at dawn and dusk, though activities like grooming and using the litter box may inspire them at any hour. When does your pet have its FRAPs?
