Most pet owners think ticks are only a summer problem... think again. Ticks are already active —are your pets protected?

May is Lyme Awareness Month

• Lyme Disease is in our area
• How pets get it: Ticks can carry Lyme disease
• Even one bite can cause problems
• Signs to Watch for:
• Limping
• Fever
• Lethargy
• Swollen joints

Prevention is simple and much easier than treatment.
• Call us to get protected. Not sure if your pet is covered? Give us a call or send us a message —we'll help you figure it out.

Yesterday was World Veterinary Day!
Help us celebrate the wonderful men and women who take care of all of our amazing animals!
From tiny paws to thousand-pound patients, you show up with skill, patience, and heart—no matter the species or the situation. Long days, unpredictable cases, and still, you care for every animal (and their humans) like they matter—because they do.
Thank you for the compassion, grit, and dedication you bring to every barn, clinic, and field.
We have put together some fun caricatures of our 9 wonderful doctors! Click the pictures to see them all and enjoy!

⭐️It’s Administrative Professional’s Day!⭐️
We’re celebrating our incredible Veterinary Customer Service Representatives 🐾
You are the friendly voice on the phone, the smiling face when people come into the clinic, and the bridge between pets, clients, and the medical team. From scheduling appointments and answering endless questions to offering compassion when it’s needed most—your role is essential, and your impact is immeasurable.
Thank you for your patience, your empathy, your multitasking magic, and your dedication to both people and their pets. Veterinary medicine simply wouldn’t function without you.
We appreciate you today and every day 💙

Collaboration – We partner with pet owners, specialists, and our community to provide the highest level of care possible.

As the first pillar of our C.A.R.E.S. principles, collaboration extends far beyond the four walls of our clinic. It means working together—not only with our clients and their pets, but also with our local and neighboring communities—to support the health and well-being of all.

This commitment is reflected in moments when we come together to help those in need, such as lending a hand to our neighbors in Lena after the tornado.

A huge shout out to all who went to Lena to help with the clean up! Thank you first responders, thank you disaster services, thank you neighbors, thank you all who donated food, clothes, resources, and time. As we helped clean up debris this weekend we were talking with Lena residents and one of the locals said "The amount of support that has shown up for our town helps restore my faith in human kind." ❤

It’s National Pet ID Week 🐾

📖Storytime- Reunion ❤
In early 2025, our amazing local animal control brought in a dog that was found wandering. We scanned it for a microchip and luckily there was one! We looked up the chip number and we were stunned… it said the owner lived on the East Coast, 1,000 MILES AWAY! We called the number listed; it was her, Mom! She told us that her dog had been MISSING FOR YEARS! Because she had her information up to date, we were able to contact her and get her reunited with her baby! It was a beautiful day at Vet Associates!

If your pet ever got lost, would they find their way back to you?
Every year, countless pets go missing—and having proper identification can be the difference between a quick reunion or a heartbreaking loss. A collar tag with your current phone number is a great start, but a microchip can make all the difference. It’s a simple, safe, and permanent way to ensure your pet can be identified no matter what.

Pet ID isn’t just a precaution—it’s peace of mind. Emergencies happen. Gates get left open. Loud noises can spook even the calmest pets. Being prepared means giving your furry family member the best chance to come home.

Take a few minutes this week to:
✔ Check that your pet’s ID tag is up to date
✔ Make sure microchip information is registered and current
✔ Consider adding a backup contact

It only takes a few minutes—but it could save you days, weeks, or even the permanent loss of your pet.
They rely on you for everything—including finding their way home. 🐶🐱
