Mags needs your help! This poor girl was found on a farm in Winnebago and is in desperate need of support. She is currently safe and scheduled for surgery but the cost of surgery is currently unknown. Anything helps!

Mags needs emergency surgery to help heal her facial injuries among other health issues.

❤️‍🩹We had Mags aTender Loving Care Animal Hospitalal, the injured cat from Saturday night.
Necrotic tissue was removed (debridement). She needs to gain weight BUT her surgeon said she is confident she can undergo reconstructive surgery from the damage she’s sustained to her face. Mags is also FIV+ but we know FIV+ cats can live well with other cats as long as they’re friendly. Mags was purring while her Dr gave her affection.

🐾Here’s the catch. Well, two tiny catches.
In order for me to foster her and handle her wound care I need to empty my nursery kennel. Which means we need a foster home for kittens! We have two kittens that need to be fostered. Two sibling kittens at 6 weeks old (Sam & Dean).

On today’s episode of Orange & Jobless…
Little Georgie is learning if you lay close enough in the orange pile you can easily share that one brain cell.
Georgie’s been through the wringer the past few weeks and he’s finally on the mend. Now we just need the little man to eat and gain weight so he can go home to his family!

❤️‍🩹We try to keep our posts at a PG rating. But sometimes we need to share the “behind the scenes” to spread awareness and promote education.

🐾We got a call late last night about a cat in pretty bad condition. She was emaciated, covered in fleas, and had fly larvae inside of her upper lip, tunneling into her cheek. We removed larvae, administered pain meds, fluids, antibiotics, and got food in her. She has been sleeping in her isolation kennel since.

🫠Our rescue is beyond full. Adoptions have stalled, and balancing finances is a tightrope walk. We are a case by case intake. All of the money we receive goes directly to animal care. We don’t have a building, paid staff, or vet.
But…

🎉🙌We do have a wonderful group of foster homes. We do have an amazing staff of volunteers at our resale store. We do have a long history of caring adopters. We do have diverse Veterinarian options for different needs. We do have a network of experienced rescuers, and trappers. We do have a generous and supportive community that unconditionally helps us when we are in need! We hope to one day have a building and receive funding so we can continue our mission and help more animals in need.

🎯Here’s Bingo. Just a normal cat doing normal cat things, in a “normal” cat foster home. Bingo is now available for adoption! He couldn’t have made it this far without the support of our community.🥰

This little doll was found halfway up a utility pole, screaming!
She’s a sweet little 1.6 pound white and orange buff girl. She is still learning about her surroundings and is going to her foster home on Sunday. Once she’s old enough for spay she will be available for adoption.

❤️‍🩹Maisie update!❤️‍🩹

Maisie’s surgery was successful! The animal hospital is keeping her over night and we can bring her home tomorrow. A huge thank you to the orthopedic team at Tender Loving Care Animal Hospital. And a heartfelt thank you to everyone that has donated to make her surgery possible! Maisie already has a meet and greet in her future. 🥰

Now we let her rest and begin her road to recovery.

Throwin shade!

Shade is a master at stealing hair ties, judging from the top of the cat trees, and telling you to check yourself in the mirror before you leave. With her permanent resting scowl, she won’t demand attention, is excellent at pest control, and will respect your personal space. *until you’re in bed. Then you must drop your phone and pet her.

Likes: sneaking around corners to grab your feet, laying in the middle of the kitchen floor to grab your ankles, and handing out skibbity-baps.
Dislikes: hugs, being touched on the lower back, the color purple, birthday parties, kittens, and friendly hellos.

Shade is single and ready to be socially awkward with a socially awkward human who understands personal space. Shade’s foster mom is paying her adoption fee, “Doing myself a favor”.
Shade is a petite and brutally honest 5 month old, spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and litter trained. She begrudgingly tolerates all the other animals in her foster home.
