The staff of Aalatash Animal Hospital Welcomes Dr.Baltzley and the staff of Newberry Animal Hospital with open arms. Aalatash Animal Hospital West has offically become Newberry Animal Hospital 39th Avenue and Aalatash Animal Hospital East has become Newberry Animal Hospital South Main Street. We are still available at both locations to continue to provide you and your furry family members with excellent veterinary care. Due to an increase in the amount of parvovirus cases that we have seen in the past month we wanted to let our clients know a little bit about parvovirus. Parvovirus is transmitted by contact with infected animals or their feces and can live in the environment for extended periods. It affects the gastrointestinal tract causing bloody diarrhea, fever and lethargy but some patients will show no signs as they spread disease. Most patients will recover with appropriate care, but can be lethal. It is most commonly seen in non vaccinated puppies. It is protocol for Aalatash Animal Hospital to vaccinate all of it's patients for parvovirus.
