Good Morning Fort Family,

Today I’m sharing a message that comes with a very full heart. As of 3/23/2026, Fort Frisbee — both the business and the property — is officially up for sale, and we will be closing all operations on May 17, 2026.

These past four years have been unforgettable. We’ve met incredible pets, amazing people, and shared so many joyful moments caring for your dogs during daycare and overnight stays. Thank you for trusting us with your furry family members — that trust has meant more than you’ll ever know. We built a wonderful community of over 1,700 registered owners and 2,400 registered pets. We built this from zero by showing our dedication, trustworthiness , and compassion.

When we opened in 2022, the world was still recovering from COVID and the economy was unpredictable. Over time, my SBA‑backed loan climbed from 5.25% to 10.5%, and after years of high inflation and steep interest rates, I simply no longer have the financial runway to keep operating long‑term. The business is profitable, but the debt required to survive those years has made sustainability impossible for me. Someone with fewer loans could step in and be profitable from year one, but that's no longer an option for me.

What happens now?

Due to some staffing departures as we prepare for closure, we are currently short‑staffed. Starting April 1, 2026, we will be closed for daycare on Tuesdays. We will remain open the other four days as staffing allows and we will still be doing overnight boarding 7 days per week until May 17th.

Our final day of operation will be May 17, 2026. After that date, we will no longer accept reservations for any services. If you have upcoming bookings after that date — especially boarding — please begin making alternate arrangements now.

Over the next week, we’ll share a list of trusted local options to help make this transition easier.
Thank you for four incredible years. Please be patient with us over the next two months as we navigate staffing changes. We are doing everything we can to support our loyal families and their wonderful pets.

With gratitude,
Steve

And the winner of the staff gingerbread house making contest is…… Kristin! And now a little bit about her gingerbread house.

Located at 143 Treasure Tub Lane, this "modern-traditional" gingerbread estate offers a lifestyle of extreme minimalism—mostly because it’s physically impossible to enter.

Property Highlights:
• Palatial Living Space: A sprawling 0.01 square feet of open-concept living. It’s perfect for anyone who finds a shoebox too "echoey."
• The "Hermit" Floor Plan: Features one room, zero bathrooms, and a strict "no-exit" policy thanks to the decorative, completely inoperable doors and windows.
• Estate Grounds: The property boasts a vast, picket-fenced yard featuring premium, artisanal cardboard-textured turf that requires zero water and looks suspiciously like a flattened shipping box.
• Gourmet Construction: Built with traditional gingerbread techniques, making it the only home on the market that is both a structural marvel and a light snack.

It’s the ultimate starter home for a tenant who is three inches tall and doesn't believe in hygiene.

Great job Kristin!

Stop settling for plain old dog parks! Upgrade your dog's day at Fort Frisbee!

We believe daycare should do so much more than just run your dog ragged. It should truly enrich them, and that's exactly what our approach delivers. Every single day with us is purposeful! Your dog will get premium care built right into their routine, including a relaxing five minute brush session, dedicated one-on-one obedience time where we focus on our “command of the month”, and a swift, reassuring nose-to-tail health check by our staff.

It's the perfect mix of fun, focus, and wellness! Ready to upgrade their daycare experience?

Book their spot today and see why Fort Frisbee makes the difference!
