This is Hayden.
Her very first lesson was a little over 2 years ago on Darla..... I can remember her looking at my barrel racing girls with stars in her eyes!

She is only 11 years old now.... And yesterday she was feeling a little overwhelmed when she saw all the game horses step out of the barn.
She was sure she was in over her head.

I took her back to her tack stall, and I reminded her that she absolutely 💯 belonged with this TOUGH group of game horses. All she had to do was ride the horse like she did at home.

She had 15 horses in her classes....

Her mom and I expected her to have clean runs....
What we did not expect was for this little 11-year-old girl to push herself so hard, and be a leader at the front of the pack all day long placing top 5 & 6 of some very FAST horses
She shined. She really spread her wings and stretched out the horses legs....and they soared
I cried. I cried a lot. I think everyone had a tear in their eye at some point
Hayden i am so proud of you.

Back story:
The mom bought this horse from me with the very sole purpose of being her own trail horse.

But Natalie decided that she could turn her into a barrel horse... she comes over and gets lessons from me but for the most part the kid has done all the work herself!

And it is just coming together for this little team, I regret selling this horse everyday, she's one of the good ones!

But I am always cheering for them even if they won't sell her back to me LOL
