Good afternoon friends, family, and clients...

An unfortunate turn of events has taken over, we unfortunately have had a gas leak in a spot dogs frequent regularly. All fur babies near the premises are safe, and unharmmed. Parents have been contacted and all is well.

With that being said, Momma Bear's Grooming & Boarding will be closing down ALL services for the time being. For everyone who is currently on our schedule, we will be reaching out to you shortly to work out an alternative to your service.

The situation is being handled accordingly.
We are sorry for the inconvenience. Have a great day.

To all of those out there making accusations and false claims of Momma Bear's Grooming & Boarding about Bubba being held...

To all of those out there making accusations and false claims of Momma Bear's Grooming & Boarding about Bubba being held ransom and this being a malicious act just because my brother in laws girlfriends kids were able to capture and return the cat safely to the Bair family after trying to capture it in multiple areas for 2 to 3 weeks, I have a few things to clear up.
Why in the world would i want to create myself grief, stress, loss of money and dig my name into the dirt! You are all a real bunch of sharp tools. This was an accident that could have happened to anyone. I took a chance taking him in the first place as he has done this before AT HIS OWN HOME!! Why was i told the cats name is Bubba when on the vet record it states his name is Jade, but online the cat dad states the cat didnt know his name only when you put food in a bowl and shake it he comes to eat. They would not disclose their complete address to the boarding facility so we could track the route they drove here to bring him they only stated they have been looking down there several times a day. We had to pull their address up on the steuben county beacon. They told the community they lived 20 miles from the boarding facility. It states on map quest 12 miles. They stated they put personal items and live traps all through a 1/8 mile and in front of "their" ring camara of the boarding facility but, at the time i had no ring camara and there were NO personal items nor live traps we saw during our search other than what WE placed. They requested a chair be put in the cats room, i reluctantly granted that to make the pet and owners comforable as they asked. I supplied the cat pan as they stated he only goes outside but the cat used the box within the first hour of being here. They were attiment that he be able to go outside as he is an indoor/outdoor cat. I made a way for that to happen but the funny part is, NOT ONCE did he go into that outdoor space. I was told he he didnt like to be held, but, He let me hold him, love on him and he even gave kisses. He was NOT transported to the facility by the owners in a cat carrier nor when he was picked up. WHY would you NOT put your cat in a carrier even after he had been missing for 6 to 8 weeks when you leave the place that captured him at 11:30 at night??? The community was being told Momma Bear's was not being helpful and we were sending unwarranted messages to the owners which is 100% NOT TRUE!! I have saved every conversation, every phone call, every community interaction as proof. We have drove miles and miles hours and hours. I was seeing a therapist, I was not eating, sleeping or taking care of the things I needed to because I WAS SEARCHING and I WAS TORN UP about the baby being out there somewhere and I wanted to find him, I wasn't giving up I was determined. If I wasnt taking responsibility why in the world would I reach out to the community and offer a reward or print and put flyers up?? The community and myself were given so much false information in this situation its absolutely ridiculous. I am tired of being silent my silence has not been because I wasnt taking ownership I was silent because I have a double edged sword. I was trying to give grace, be a professional and respectful but I am tired of the assumptions, negative comments and accusations.
#1 I the owner of Momma Bear's refunded the reward to the Bair family for $1,000 and the boys who captured him did not want the money the only reason they inquired and took it was because the cat owner was being very rude to them. He even hung up and them the first time they called and told him they have his cat then he seemed upset that they called his phone number and asked the boys hastily how they got his number, who cares how they got it they thought you wanted your cat and wanted to get it to you.
#2 Momma Bear's paid them a reimbursement of their full 250$ boarding stay plus 50$ at the time they picked up their cats belongings.
#3 Momma Bear's requested the cat owners take him to the vet for a complete evaluation that Momma Bears would pay for, they at this time have declined stating they contacted Suzie @ Pokagon Vets office and neither of them felt it was necessary at this time for him to be seen as he seems to be doing ok. He is slightly skittish but is not dehydrated and looks well. IF you for anyone's else decides you have further question or would like more information please feel free to contact me I will gladly take give you what your looking for.
