We’ve been very busy these past couple of weeks and are behind on show posts. Last weekend we attended SWODGA. It was a very competitive show. No ribbons, but our junior herdsire, High Lonesome RM His Majestea, was 1xJGCH and 2xRGCH for the junior bucks. High Lonesome M Wild Card was 1xJGCH and 1xRGCH for the junior bucks as well. Our girls also had some good placings in their large classes.

Now, onto yesterday’s show at the KY Mini Dairy Goat Classic. High Lonesome TM Wednesday VEEE90 was grand champion in ring 1 at the KY Mini Show today, securing that elusive final leg for her permanent championship. Wednesday is a character, our daily entertainment and a brat in the ring if she’s not in the mood to show. But, she behaved yesterday and we have our first permanent champion in our herd name! We are so excited to not have Wednesday drag us around the ring anymore!

We only took 5 seniors to this show and they all made us proud. Primrose Hill U Glimmer GGEV85 snagged a reserve champion in ring 2. Primrose Hill B Still My Heart 2*M GVEG85 was best udder in ring 1. Our other girls placed well but no other ribbons. It was a fun, well run show and we are so glad we were able to attend. No more shows until the end of July now and I think the girls are ready for a break. We didn’t get many pictures but here’s a few.

If you haven’t already, go check out our YouTube channel. Mack has put out a couple videos of the past 2 shows that we have attended. I believe he’s planning on doing a video for each show that we go to, so check out the videos, leave a like, and leave a comment to tell us what you think!

We have this ADGA registered buckling available that would make a great herd sire. His dam finished at one show, going grand in all 3 rings, and will be on milk test this year. His first freshening maternal sister went grand at her first show this year and now only needs one more leg to finish. This guy is the result of a repeat breeding from last year because I like his full brother so much that we retained. I made the announcement flyers below for him and decided to tweak them a little to show all the lovely goats related to this buckling. Discount available to performance herds. Located in Frankfort, KY, but can work with transporters. Please PM with any questions.

Our first daughters out of Old Mountain Farm Royal Mead *B GVV84 1xGCH 2xRGCH freshened this year.
We're pretty happy with both of these girls. I think these girls will be ones to watch next year once they've matured some more. We have several kids sired by Roy that are available, and Annie, pictured below, has 2 maternal sisters still available. Not all of our kids that are available are on the website yet, but we are going to get pictures and work on that today.

We attended our first show of the year yesterday at the Heart of Indiana dairy goat show. We had a great time catching up with friends we haven’t seen since last show season and getting out to show goats again! We really appreciate the judges and show staff for all their work putting this show on. This show has always been well run and a great start to our show season the past few years that we’ve attended. We only took 4 milkers and 2 dry yearlings, but we are very proud of how they all performed yesterday.
