Official American Paint Horse Association

Official American Paint Horse Association Official account of the American Paint Horse Association | Marked For Greatness✨

Beginning with approximately 3,800 horses in the registry, over 1 million Paints are registered with the Association today. APHA ranks second in the number of horses registered annually in the United States, making it one of the largest horse breeds in the world. Although the APHA's primary mission is to record pedigrees, the association is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history, breedi

ng, training, racing, showing, sales and enjoyment of American Paint Horses. More importantly, the heart of the APHA lies in its members, which is why the association strives to develop and sponsor programs that reflect their interests and their love of the American Paint Horse. The APHA's goal is to encourage American Paint Horse owners to find fulfillment with their horses in whatever activities they find most enjoyable, and to give members the opportunity to share in the pleasure of Paint Horses.

Last and certainly not least is your 2025 PAC No. 1 Six PAC Top Five horse, 𝐖𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐁 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 🎉

For Vicki Howson, “Casey” became much more than a show horse. The 2017 red dun overo mare arrived during a new chapter in Vicki’s life, bringing not only success in the arena, but a partnership built through quiet days at home and time spent simply enjoying the ride.

Purchased in 2022, Casey already held APHA world and reserve world champion titles before joining Vicki’s program. Together, the pair added more accolades in 2023, including two world championships and two reserve world championships across multiple disciplines.

Rather than chasing a strict plan, Vicki focused on keeping Casey happy and enjoying the process. That steady approach paid off in 2025, when Casey earned 223 PAC credits to claim the top spot on the Six PAC Top Five list.

“We came home six-time champions. Our little 15.1 powerhouse motored through it all like a seasoned show horse,” Vicki said.

Rounding out the Six PAC Top Five horse list:

2nd | 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡
3rd | 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐳 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐍 𝐋𝐚𝐳𝐲
4th | 𝐀 𝐊𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
5th | 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
