This ✨Thankful Thursday✨ we are reflecting on how grateful we are for everyone who came out to adopt this past weekend, including Delilah’s new family!

Delilah was one of our longest residents, City of Fort Worth’s Animal of the Week, and a staff favorite. Seeing her finally find her forever home was such a special moment for our team. 💛

Her adopter, Brieana, shared:
“After years of searching for the perfect furry companion, we finally found Delilah! Once we saw her at the Mega Adoption Event, we knew we had to go home with her! Since bringing her home, Delilah has been such a lively pup who has lit up our lives with her playful spirit and endless cuddles. We are so grateful for the friendly volunteers and staff who assisted us with bringing Delilah home ❤️”

Derpy (known as Mr. Clean at the shelter) stole Sadie’s heart back in May with his goofy ears and big personality.🐶
Three months later, he’s thriving; smart, sweet, and even learning commands in two languages!
Sadie shared “He’s helped me in ways I can’t even describe, even when he’s snoring like a freight train 😂.”

💚 This Team Tuesday celebration goes out to our friends from Starbucks.💚 Last week they rolled up their sleeves for a service day at FWACC!

From prepping enrichment and filling foster food bags to tackling laundry and even helping medical staff with syringes and surgical drapes, they made a huge impact. We’re so grateful for their teamwork and help for our animals! 🐾☕

The final tally... 78 adoptions from FWACC at MEGA! 🎉 That’s 78 animals who found loving homes in just one weekend. And in total, 760 animals from various organizations found positive outcomes, even Councilwoman Hill came out to show support. 🐾💙

Events like this remind us how special our community is, filling hearts while emptying kennels. We’re so grateful to HSNT for hosting such a fun, successful event. Here’s to 78 new beginnings for our fwacc pups! ✨
