It's actually quite interesting.
Because it's always the dog who "can't."

It can't sit still.
It can't go well.
It can't stay focused.
It can't pass the audition.

We rarely stop and ask:
Can it... or did I teach it correctly?
Did I build it up properly?
Did I communicate clearly?
Did I make it possible?
Or did I just decide that it should happen now?

Because at some point,
it's no longer about training.
There will also be expectations.

And when the expectation becomes greater than understanding, then it's not the dog's fault.
Then it's ours.

But it's simply easier to say:
"It can't."
