We’ve just discovered that the microchip company we use, Save This Life, has gone out of business. If we have implanted your pet’s Save This Life microchip, you will need to re-register the microchip with a different company. The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) tracks many microchip registries and you can choose a new registry by going to the following website
https://www.aaha.org/participating-companies/

There is a free registry called FindPet listed on the AAHA website. You will need photos of your pet as well as some basic information about your pet to complete that registration. Of course, you can choose any of the registries you prefer but most charge a registration fee.

In the future we will be implanting HomeAgain microchips that will also tell us your pet’s temperature so we won’t have to take that rectally!

If you are unsure about your pet’s microchip registry, please call, email, or text the clinic and we can provide that information. We will do our best to make this transition as smooth as possible.
